Nice rudder setup Shawn. What do you have in mind for the paint job?
Well that I am not sure of yet, it'll come to me, then change halfway through. Or that is how it usually goes anyway. Doesn't so much change as 'morph'.
Just got the brass fittings in for the bellows. I soldered a small sliver of 'one size up tube' onto the the oval through tube to help hold the bellows on.
And the bellows slip on nicely with just a hint of grease put on the edge(took me a tear to think of that). On final assembly I will put a tie over it to hold.
Loving that rudder setup. That's how it should look!
Thanks Jeff, after our conversation and me ordering reverse taps and all that stuff, reverse thread ball links suddenly POPPED up on eBay, go figure huh.
While your in waiting mode, I'd like to see you start on the one pointed at next.
Well, I have really good news in that area Ken. My paint guys is willing to match up that rear hatch section. It is small and shouldn't be too much $$, so this just might happen.
Allright Ken, I think this next week should see some Scarab action. Just about got the old school hydro done and the Fantasm is ready for a sunny day.
Guess I will start with adding to the hatch opening lip so the hatch can seat itself. Guess I will have to reference your thread as I think I saw some handi work there.
