Pete, do you clamp, heat, then just push to the curve?

The glue laminating the ply together should get soft with heat. Just never thought of it.

I just put the heat gun in the vice, facing upwards. It's not an exact science. I don't clamp anything. I just hold the ply above the heat and bend to taste. Only takes a few minutes/iterations. After burning my fingers off two or three times I usually put on a pair of leather gloves.

The real advantage is that it doesn't stress/warp the frame when you tack it on.

Just seal it Pete. No need to paint before the weekend. It's just exhibition.

John, I've had good luck with Gator Tape. Seems to stick just a tic better. Looks like that might be what Pete uses there. They make it in cloth or vinyl.

To Terry: lol. Hung it from the swing set in our backyard and painted it last night in the DARK! It was also misting a little bit. Doesn't look half bad for the conditions!

Based on performance last Saturday and during our last club race, the changes will be implemented.

Pete....

With the mods you made in Ver 5.7 did you just modify the ride pad on the inside sponson and leave the 3 degree dihedral on the outside sponson?
Also did you switch up the power package on the latest build?
