By the looks of it sitting in the water and the way it runs (Too wet) you need to slide your batteries back quite a bit.

Alright, I soldered up a series connector on 10awg lead with 5.5mm connector's, so I can run my thunder power 3850!mah 4s cells.

I also rebalanced it on the second step @ 9.75" w/ the 4s cells.

I put the front anchor on the motor, unfortunately the 3674 is 1/8" - 3/16" too long for this motor mount. I dropped the rear motor mount to the middle bolt hole, now the rear of the water jacket is sitting right on the Hull but it's bolted down. this lets the front motor mount set squarely in the saddle, since those bolt holes don't line up anchored it with gap filling medium CA glue, across the top., back & front. it feels rock solid I can't budge it, I hope it holds alright ....

Yes it is, the rudder cools the ESC & the ridepad cools the motor & motor mount. It seems to work as good as the rudder. Both h20 outlets put out a nice stream of water.

How much is a lot of drag? Do you think there would actually be a significant impact that it could even be measured on the water? Losing a couple tenths of a mph could hardly be called a lot of drag. Look at the positives instead of throwing stuff like that out there that are obvious considerations.

Originally I had a t fitting, splitting the rudder pick up between the ESC/motor & motor mount. I installed an h20 outlet style tube pick up. the temperatures were cooler but it created too much drag. I switched it out for this low profile chamfered outlet, and I don't even notice a drag issue with it.

Ok well good luck with your boat.
Obviously I'm out of my league here. I should be a food critic instead.
Btw my mean machine clocked in at 60 last week
                            Later....
