I got a 3150kv motor from hobby king, says it will take 18v...... we'll see. Also have a leo 4065/2700kv that says it will do 5s. May have to queue up some more Deep Purple.
Those motors are incorrect choices for that size hull. Yes they will move the hull around, but your going to have to use a small prop and it will cavitate More than it should and take longer to get on plane along with slower speeds that it should have. It's all a balancing act. The hull I have is a fightercat hull.
    32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) was

Sorry all, my references to the motors I have and the questions about the hull that the op created are completely unrelated. The motors I have will, at some point, be swapped into my mg24, not ANY 36" hull that I don't own. Maybe someday, in a mg29 but probably no larger.

Someone did try to sell (unsuccessfully) their 'cheapo' hull that I referenced from ebay. They had two 1900kv motors in it - gotta say, the sound of two screamers at once is pretty cool.
