Thank you guys for the kind words, I means a lot! and I'm sure Steve feels a little better every time he sees the comments too. It is his boat after all. @ fella, yes purple washers are still somewhere in the world, I had some drama tracking down the M4 in size. But the servo horn has the M3 washer still, so it will give you an idea.

I found the washers on Ebay, bizarre hobbies is the seller. Comes as a four pack of the purple washers and bolt head covers. They only came up when m4 washer was searched. Thought I should be a part of the solution. Let me know if you have trouble finding them as the search was done on Ebay Canada. Nice looking washer and the cap bolt cover is interesting as well.

I did order some a week ago, but I do like the idea of the ones you mentioned. But is there a chance the bolt head covers can come off.? I always worry about loose parts.

I think they look very sharp and plan on getting a whole bunch (in a different color). With little bit og quality sealent given there weight I dont think they would ever come off. I wouldn't trust them by the press on fit alone given the varying quality and different manufacturers of the stainless steel bolts. It did seem like they would be a very good fit for your project. Another option anyways.

Something else I didn't notice late last night was the washer outside is straight sided, no cone.
They also have HR logo on the top covers, not bad when you think Heuer Racing?
