I am never good at guessing the speed, but she is running faster than my stock UL-1 for sure, I would but the speed at no less than 45mph.
I got some catching up to do with my Miss Elam. Right now I am waiting to have real time on my hands to do a bit of beautification work and wanting to re-install the horizontal wing. Got some metal truss from the nitro counter part, since the ones for BL is no longer in production.

I hear ya. The rear wing doesn't seem to have any negative effects for me

looks like a really good LSH boat
what prop are you using and is this hull hard to tape up?

The prop is an x440/3, and currently I'm using a piece of pool noodle as a sub hatch. It's not water tight but I haven't come up with a way to make it yet. It's a little bit of a pain to tape, but I don't tape the hatch itself

Sorry for the newbie question but I was wondering how you tackled removing the radio box? Dremmel I assume?... I just don't want to go ripping stuff out and mess up the hull.

I just used a heat gun and muscle to get it out. The heat loosens the glue and makes the plastic pliable enough to get out

You can use a hair dryer. Takes a bit longer but it works
