How are you coming up with these mph?. My 21" drag boat on 6s will go from zero to 80mph in 3.6 sec per my Eagletree. Keep an eye on that water, looks a bit rough for a Dragboat. Its hard to get proper testing done without good water.

Once this launches to 100% I will get focused on times and speed..
At the moment it's gps speeds recorded after the circus performer returns

good water Vs bad .. hahaha 'Fluid' will love that
I make no claims for ETs .. Im here to see what can be achieved.

Have eagle tree systems for 'ron .. for that 'good day' run.

      @jcald2000.
Once the scale type cowl arrives the aerodynamics will be addressed further.

Earthquake?? Where?? One decent tremor every fifty years or so is about as bad as we get it here..... However, Docs boat has caused a couple of minor shudders lately.... :-)

Thanks for the concern... But im a little more worried about the massive super-volcano that sits under YOUR country mate.... BUBBLING...BOILING...READY TO EXPLODE.... If that sucker goes up, we're all screwed!!! (you guys get to go first.)

Surf will be up for sure on whats left of your west coast...

Hope this helps you sleep a bit easier. :-)
          Im confused..... no...wait...mabee im not?

Solomon Islands. A thousand plus miles away.
              8.0 on the sphincter scale.
2 hrs ago according our news services Too early to determine if tsunami incoming but forewarnings issued.
Richie and I are 2750 miles from the coastline if affected.
Hopefully it misses, the coastline in Aust is only just now mopping up from major rainfall flooding.

A tsunami watch alert has been cancelled for Australia after a powerful earthquake struck off the Solomon Islands earlier this afternoon.

Most waxheads down under grab their boards and head TO the coast when Tsunami warnings are raised... We call them good surf days ... We also have this REALLY BIG thing called the great barrier reef that tends to get in the way of any really big stuff.

I mite go wax my board just for the hell of it, but I dont think ill go for my waterwings just yet..

Doc will be ok too...he has his jet powered wheelchair ready and waiting and will probably be laughing as all the trash gets washed away ... :-)

                        Nice chair...no wheelie bars??

I showed your boat vids to a former australian champion powerboat racer friend of mine. He noted a pedulum type pitching problem. He thinks the sponsons are too long (far back), and too much weight up front. He recons too much lift from props is causing boat to see-saw (pitch) on the sponsons rather than ride on them. I think he may have a point. His suggestions were---
                        1. Shorten sponsons. (also resulting in a longer afterplane).
                        2. Reduce prop lift.
3.Move battery weight back a bit.

Others on here have mentioned point 2+3, but add his first point into the mix and i think he may just be right...???

#1. shorter sponsons moves ride pad fwd..sorta same as moving cg rearwards ( see #3)
#2. is fairly easy to try
#3. have 2"/50mm battery shift towards rear , and a toolbox of weights to stick to the rear.

Will try #2 first .. this flies level under acceleration.. a pusher prop may keep it level when at constant speed (?)

Saturday it's out again for more wet&wild.. it's 4th outing

Once this gets dialed, it will be a pleasure to drive.......

Notice there is no weight forward of the ride pads. They dont even run fuel in the left sponson. All the weight in the rear, control the nose with the struts.

Yes, ride is a matter of weight distribution and hull attitude

Full size TFH control ride attitude by adjustment the anti cavitation plates on back the boat.
( we modelers call these 'trim tabs' )

Mine runs like the photo above until 60ish+ mph, when the nose starts to rise.
( Unlike the photo above, I currently have no cowl/engine above the deck...it has a flat top ... )
Once the cowl arrives I will readdress handling 60+ with benefits of large down force holding the hull to water..

                              Thanks for the ongoing suggests.
