Also I totally agree with turning you servo down to not have as much throw I have mine turned down some as well on the fightercat boat since it will flip right over at speeds with sharp turning.CF Fightercat Daytona, 21 year old Hitec Sea Nymph, Genesis and many more to come im sure.Comment

to the motor? It prevents the wires from melting the stock shrink wrap and shorting out, which is a common issue with these motors when you run them for a long time with the larger props. and a long time in rc boating isn't very long sometimes 30 seconds is all it takes to blow a motor.
the ul1 is a 3656 so the dimensions are slightly smaller but it is also six pole and a more appropriate kv. the 3660 you speak of, is the one in your project boat? I would leave the motors where they are.Comment

detounging is when you remove some material from the leading edge of a prop to get rid of the low pitch area. It is done to gain more high end, the extra bite you loose for. I wouldn't suggest trying that just yet. You would need a balancer at the least. Take a look at an octura x series vs the m series. The m series is a detounged x series and you can see the missing tounge area in picks
dang i cant keep up, people posting as im typing.
I have no idea how this thread got to be 1000 post longComment
