I have a aluminum 30,and an old 35.But herein lies another problem, might need a stepped down shaft.I have a spare Proboat plastic prop 40mm.I haven't got anything in the 37-38 range yet. M-a-W should have an idea as he has a couple of these motors so should know what they will push.

Happy Easter eggs to you's as well.

Sorry Mason,The numbers change around a bit but for Octura props they will call it X 430.That is 4=1.4 pitch or 1.4 x diameter. And the 30 will be that diameter of the prop.Other's will list as 4518(such as ABC props)which will be 45 mm diameter and 1.8 pitch. As you increase pitch you are usually increasing speed but lose a little off the start.More pitch also increases amp draw. Questions?

That is when the experimental game starts.Just get the boat going and go from there.Someone on here should hold a two year course on props.I don't know if anyone is a master.

You will probably start with a 1.4 prop.

Plastic will flex and flatten out and even blow apart when you start juicin them up(RPM). Aluminum can as well.Beryillium and stainless do not.

Some of the guys experiment with plastic to get a rough idea then buy a good one as plastic is cheap and a good "done" prop is $35 or more.
