Down the pond for a couple of hot laps, must have been half asleep, ran over the buoy twice, The second time the boat wouldn't drive straight. Had to go and rescue it . When i got it back to the shore there was 80 pound fishing line wrapped around the prop. It was so tight i had to cut it off with a knife. Anyway my video wife had to work today,so no video yet , the other pic is how i carry the boats on my car. BONEWAR

        Vids up

This vid is the first set of runs for the cat, I was only taking it easy!! Just trying to let everything settle into place. Got her up to a bit over 3/4 throttle. I've started out with octura x 442 s/b detounged and cupped. There is lots more speed in this set up . Ill post more vid when i get her going. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt8re2gGHNI BONEWAR

She is purty!!!! and just moves through the water with EASE!! Good job!!

Are you running (2) 442's in the same direction or counter rotating?
My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

Thanks ACE , The pond i run in is about as big as a football field , It's perfect for my little sv27's, But not so good for the cat , She's fast and gets to the turn in about 3 seconds. I've got a dam up the road from where i live , I'm going to take the cat for a run there very soon. I will be able to let her go !!! full throttle!!!! I'll post the vid when i have done this. Calcagno 45 at the moment I'm running counter rotating inward x 442. I tried outward spinning props but the boat did not like them , made her real hard to turn and seam to lift the back of the hull . I also have tried a set of x440 both left rotation , same again the cat did not like them, i had to compensate 35-40% rudder just to get her to drive straight. So i will be running inward rotation . I've got a few very nice props to try out , so i will keep you guys informed how they turn out. BONEWAR

Scott , I will be down at the Gold Coast around June this year. I was thinking of bringing the MARITIMO with me and dropping in on the guys at BUNDALE and maybe LAKESIDE , So if i do i will send you a PM and maybe we could hook up and have a bit of a race . Would be awesome mate. Can't wait to see your twin finished , I think you are going to love it !!! The extra weight makes the hull sit on the water real nice . Turns fast , A few of my friends have cats with single set ups but the all seam to have trouble going around a corner fast. Not so for my twin!! Once you go to the twin drive on these cats i don't think you will ever go back to a single. Just because of the sound/ acceleration and the way the hull hook's around the corners. Good luck on your build!!!! Ozzie and thanks for all the comments on this build. RICK

hopfully i will have my twin cat up and running by then,i dont think my cat will come any were near yours as its a fairly low budget build. but hopfully it will be good enough to have some fun with guys up at boondle.

                      Hey Rick,
Bring it to lakeside dude, alot more room there to run the boat. Boondall is far to small for a boat of that size and power.

Probably the reason all big racings boats use inward set ups anyway.

                                Mixer

Heath i think that will work. I will PM you end of MAY. OK i have one more trick peace of hardware for this cat. I think its made buy ETTI it is a channel mixer. The idea is to use it on both motors/esc's . I will set it up so that the inside turning motor revs 1000 rpm less then the outside motor, so that it will help me get the hull around a corner faster. I have never tried this before but it will be very interesting to see what happens . Can anyone tell me what the writing on the mixer is.(esc, steering) Thanks. Stay Tunned BONEWAR
