    Bonewar:

    No bullet nuts?

    Dr J:
we sent a few emails back and forth, and he kept saying that I was jealous and he was being asked by people all over the world to build boats for them.

He also has NO idea about prop setup. That's probably why he had somebody make a set of props for him because he couldn't figure out which ones to use.

      Update

OK finished the decals , painted the tips of the spoonsons red. I ended up putting the water outlets on the spoonsons transom next to the drives, couldn't bring myself to drilling a hole in the side of the hull , like i had planned . Ive got a few little areas that need attention then to 2 pak clear coat . The esc are in there little harnesses, the powered safety switches are in place and Ive got 2 option on lipo placement. I will start with the lipos in the spoonsons and see how i go . All of the water cooling system is complete . Wow its almost done! And i had to pay homage to the great neu ! As soon as the clear coat is dry , testing will begin , i will video the maiden voyage and post it . bonewar

I would wait at least a month to put tape on that new clear coat or it will peel.
Do you have a sub-hatch set up, so you don't have to tape the main hatch?

            BTW: It looks GREAT!
The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.

              Nice!

Wow, I just read this thread from start to finish, again. The amount of detail and quality of work is impressive.

I like the equipment layout and the "extras", the layout organization, quality hardware, attention to details, fit and finish, everything is just done right.

My favorite parts of the build: integrated water pickups and the custom transom.

Nice work Bonewar! Thanks for sharing the details as the build progressed.

I've put tape on it 3 days after its been coated, and never had a problem. Use hockey tape and wax the taping area real good, should never have a problem.

Avanti27 mate that is a good call, I don't know how many times Ive dropped my tools on the boat and I'm glad to say not 1 scratch , the 2 pak is very tough stuff. I'll give the clear coat 4 days drying , In sunny QUEENSLAND the temps are around 30-35 deg at the moment , so it want take long for the clear to dry. For this project Ive kept the hatch very simple, I really like the hokey tape never had a problem with it, keeps all the water out. ApacheDude thanks for the comments mate. The build has taking me almost 7 months to complete , thanks to all for your Comments and Patience. bonewar

                          Transport

OK i have been thinking about this one for a while , this is where I've got to. This pile of bits is going to end up 1 very nice stand for the cat . the next pic is the stand i made to carry the sv27's. The red tips look awesome.

                            Cmdi props

WOW , i just received my order from CMDI, Thanks Donna - Andy for these awesome props. The props are aluminum CNC 4569/R/L . I think they might be a little to big for the cat , I've been balancing and sharping some of the Octura props for my SV27's and they have come out real nice. So if the 3 blade props are to big i will reduce the DIA and PITCH, if that doesn't work they will become show props. They look awesome on the boat.
