SLAUGHTER_AUS mate where is lakeside . I would love to run the boat against other boats it size. I'm in MACKAY QLD . She might be a little heavy to race , No problem Ive got anther hull H&M might put a single in that build it super light . The SIMRAD cat is built strong i don't think it will be breaking any speed records , That said i don't think it will be slow either . BUILT TO LAST!

You might not want to drive to brisbane just to race, we run at lakeside raceway where the touring cars used to run, all ampba associated and great day of racing, normally about 7 to 8 classes.... i can send you some more details if you are interested still.

UPDATE Work has taking over again!!!!!!! I still have to clear coat the hull , also I'm changing a few of the decals around ( not the right scale) . The data logger needs to be set up, I'll be running with the logger until i get everything sorted out. And boatman i will get some nice closeup shots (vid) of the boat turning so that you can see the rudder working. Sorry to keep everybody waiting but it will be wet before Xmas. Ive been making a stand for the cat here is where I'm up to . IT will look awesome when complete. And 1 pic of how the steering arm is connected. Thanks BONEWAR

Cat stand

OK I've been real busy at work for the last 3 months(out of town)Home now!!!! So my number 1 priority is to finish the MARITIMO. I still have to top coat the hull with 2 pak clear! I've had her in the water twice, she goes hard ,Only taking her to 3/4 throttle I think it will rip those beautiful decals straight off at full power. The boat has a lot of power , can't wait to let her go!!! Anyway here are some pics of the stand i made for her. I'll take some vid of the cat when i have finished and post it ! BONEWAR

I was just looking at the last photo. I think those dog drives look a little close to the ends of the stingers. When you wind it up and the flex tightens, it may cause you some problems.

Funny you say that! I found out the hard way. Same strut on me sv27 , didn't have any clearance , lost 1 of my best props and the stub shaft.The stub shaft got so hot the loctite let go. Lesson learned. On the Maritimo there is 1.5mm clearance , and i am running 3/16 flex. MTC recommends 1 mm clearance. I've gone 1.5mm to be safe. Thanks ozzie , vid very soon!!!!! BONEWAR

Test runs

Well i did it! Took the boat for a little spin ,MAN does this thing have some power . On take off , it jumps out of the water, have to be careful with the trigger. 3 laps lost 4 decals , I new it would ripe them off , but i couldn't wait . So back to the shed for top coat. No vid yet just a few pics. Stay tuned BONEWAR
