Yes, I've been in touch with Mike. I'll have to see how that one turns out, that may make it 3 things to tape down. I've made it so everything is waterproof, I flipped it and it was upside down for about 5 mins. Brought it in, drained water and back in it went. I've been using the Hitec HS-5646WP servos in just about everything I have and they're working great. That along with the T180 which I sealed around the seams and a FlySky with a squirt of corrosionX.

I actually had a vac-u-pickle cowl that I was fiberglassing over, had it all primed and drying. Left it on the garage floor on cardboard to dry. Bad move, wife drove over it... Won't do that again.

Good to hear, So I guess no fishing for it yet.
I had to do that the other day for my mini bolt,
But it stays dry inside with the seal I made, No tape.

Next time I will be a little easier on throttle by tossing the hull as in first Green amp group. (amps peaked about 225 during hard throttle while running).

The Yellow 3M electrical tape does not hold as well as the White. My UL-1 nose cone fell off during run because of it. Had to retrieve it using tennis ball and fishing pole. The tennis ball and fishing pole method works Very well. Better than getting wet.

Since I purchased another Whiplash 20 kit back when they were on sale. I may build a new larger version that will qualify for larger Q Sport Hydro class (34"-40"). Hull will be lengthened in center section and transom. Sponsons will have to be larger also. I also remembered the 60 percent afterplane rule.

Just started my 34" Q Sport Hydro build. Using bandsaw I cut out longer framing (extended 4" @ stern). Two 2 1/2" x 48" strips of 1/8" plywood were laminated together using 3M contact spray adhesive then Four pieces were cut out.

OH YEA! Here is first video. Boat turns verygood using the Virginia Craftsman Sport 40 fin. Max prop rpm 36000 (logging set at 4 pole 2500kv motor), average amps pulled 230, Motor temp 123, Lipo temp 93, ESC temp 150. Boat is capable of more speed...need more prop

I am using two 4200mah packs totaling 8400mah. Total mah used during that run was 3276mah

I had to add the White nose cone locator pad in picture so my nose cone would stay on and not fall off. This locator pad has the same size and shape as one used on UL-1. This keeps the nose cone from sliding around and breaking free of tape.

Thanks Guys. You can tell by the way it sounds or screams motor is turning alot of rpm. The amps being pulled (260-200) appear to be running on ragged edge of ESC specs. I hope she lives during the hot summer. I also plan on trying a lower 2030kv motor and larger prop. Some say slowing the prop down makes prop more efficient.

At 230 amps ave. in 1 min., I assume that means 3276 used from EACH 4200?
Those .05 turns shore do eat.
If thats the case it won't make a heat race.

No...thats 1638mah used per 4200mah pack. OR like I originally said "I am using two 4200mah packs totaling 8400mah. Total mah used during that run was 3276mah"
