Sorry for not keeping this thread updated but after my old thread I'm just not into it. I run this boat 5 time and on my 1ST run got to 67MPH. Now I'm over 100MPH with the same setup, no prop change or s change. Just changing cog and prop angle. I'm running this NEU on 10S and its so smooth i would like to go 11S but the boat looks like its going to take off at anytime now. I have to much money in this build to keep run it, I'm going to start another build. I like my first build low cost and very fast and dependable. Never had a fire or burned anything up, only hard on the hull. lol

To the guys looking for speed 1/2 is hp and the other 1/2 is setup. I have the hp and only hit 67MPH with a bad setup but with getting it better I'm over 100. I really like the Leo 4082 1500kv for the money its the best bang for the buck if your looking for speed. I run that motor on all s and if your looking for speed 8 or 9 is the only way to go. You will need a good ESC and a .187 drive shaft. Don't worry about amp draws and all that crap. Check your temp. and if they are to high then you have something off. Most of the guys with a high amp draw is running a bad setup so they are doomed from the start. lol

I might run this boat 1 more time and thats if me and fluid are at the the same lake. lol

      hi howard
      you are in the way.
      what's your think or compared leopard 4082 1500kv to neu 1527 1500kv
is there a different of power?

i test my small mystic on 7S with 2x neu 1415 2200 x442 LR with 180A turningy for 2 pass max. the gps doesn't work (12 mph lol).
so i retested , my cat fly and the nose broken for 5 time now.
now i still have my medium mystic but i wait for 2 esc HV.
and i work on my freya cat.
      A+
      mike

I'm not comparing a neu to a leo. Only saying that for the money a leo is a good buy.

Howard, I will be at the NAMBA Legg Lake SAWs in October. There will be a lot of folks there who know high speed and will want to see your cat run. Hope you can make it, all the records seem to be yours for the taking.

On my other 32 i had 6 hatch bolts that sealed the hatch to the hull. I never put tape on that boat. I went with the 4mm t-nuts and 4mm hatch bolts. You can get it from http://kintecracing.com/Nuts___Bolts.html . The boat on this thread i wanted to go with 1 bolt in the top of the hatch so i could tape the hatch down. With the speed im looking for in this boat i didn't want 6 screw to give me any resistance, I know its a small thing to think about but everything counts.

one of the opsions would be to get normal screws (scredriver or allen key ones) and countersink them flush with the hull, although I don't know how big your hatch is
I put a bead of silicone, some wax paper, and fit the hatch and let it dry, the paper comes off easy and the silicone forms a seal around the hull, lots of people do it.

My old boat had large hatch bolts so it was easy and fast to open.
My new hatch lock only has 1 bolt in the top of the hatch.
This hatch lock don't only keep the hatch locked to the hull but it keep it from blowing in on a high speed flip. Its like a roll bar to protect the motor and hatch.

If memory serves, he got some pretty good speed out of that hull. Don't know if it was with that motor on 11s though. LOL A few weeks ago I tried a bigger Neu on my FC32 and the boat really torqued over. I can imagine that boat doing a barrel roll if you hit the throttle hard with a 1527.
