I'm working on a tail ring to mount the 1717 air motor in the Genesis mount stock. Just a bolt in. If anyone does machining, mock up a 46.5mm tail ring and see how the 1717 does! I have three ready to test!FighterCatRacing Team CHING BLING - Ching Bling. Brilliant, Advanced Sparkle for your hull.Comment

My 32 on the last run started to have a pull to the right on full throttle. I found the stuffing tube had a slight bend. I will do some more testing this week and see if i can make a better vid.Comment

If you have a strut with smooth sides you will want to take a dremel and cut some small grooves into it. This will help it from moving and change your prop angle.Comment

I thought that would work because i have 2 bolts holding my strut together. Every time i would run and then check my prop angle after it was different. Now with the grooves is never changes. I learned the hard way with my genesis when i 1st started the strut moved and broke my stuffing tube and twisted the drive shaft that broke a hole in the hull from it. It was about that time when i stop with 3/16 and went with .187 drive.
If you have your strut where you want it, adn intend on using a second bolt to hold the strut from moving, the second hole should be the same size as the bolt OD in both pieces. If it is, the strut wont move.
What do you mean you went from 3/16 to .187 Howard. 3/16 IS .187Comment

If you put grooves in your strut you wont need another bolt. The genesis has only 1 bolt but with grooves in the strut plate and it has never moved.Comment
