Mike I cut the rails out just ahead of the motors so I could get the lipo's in the center in my boat. Will post some pics tomorrow.

Cool Chuck. Cant wait to see the pics. That sunken deck on the ducer makes for a tight fit for everything but low drag is the trade off. She's high maintanence with four packs to charge, a shoe horn to stuff everything in and a PITA hatch but hopefully she'll run good.

Well now that the build is done and you have some free time, you should make US a easy to tape down hatch for these units.

Man, I look at that thing and I just cant imagine any cowl design making it "easy" to tape up. So many steps and angles and vertical surfaces. We could figure something out but it would be allot of effort to make it what most would consider marginally better. Along the lines of taping a stock Mean Machine hatch. I'll take another look at it tomorrow.

You've been a little secretive on your winter projects.

I'm probably going to race the same boats next year, maybe a new Tunnel and N Mono, haven't decided yet. My SAWs boats are ready, just need some pond time.
Right now I'm working on a couple of JAEs for some local guys.

I was thinking of going 1P with two 2s Thunderpower 45C 6500's in series but they would be too thick at about 25mm. Plus Mr. Smock thought I was nuts. So I just ordered four Hyperion 2S 45C 4200's from sailr whom I highly recommend for the best price on Hyperion packs. Why 4200's and not 5000's??? The 4200's are about 25mm shorter which gives me more room to slide the packs back and forth to adjust the CG. Time to get Chuck (egneg) to cut me some props. CG right now with no packs or prop is a bit over 29%. It's going to be a couple month before I can get her in the water. On to the the next project.
Looks sweet bro!! I'm going to do a shelf like you have in the back for receiver/ servo (also one ahead of the motor for the ESC). I'm going out to get some rail ply in a few min. ....i'm going with 3/16".....what did you use on your 'ducer? Richie @ Rico said that he uses 1/4" stuff...seems thick...

Chuck, can't wait to see some pics of your P-mono build.... I will post some pics of mine when I get things setup..

Kent, The Seaducer came with rails. They look to be 3/16"

1/4" seems to be the standard for gas boats.

Another coastal storm is coming on Tuesday guys. Hope my order from OSE arrives tomorrow. LOL

                  Kent,
You'll be fine with the 3/16"

Well, I bought some 1/4" birch ply (the local craft shop was out of 3/16") I think this will work out ok....better gluing surface if anything else... Thanks guys!

Yep...looks like more snow on the way!

Sweeet. Look at all that room.

Unfortunatley, there is no way I could get the CG where I need it in the 'ducer if I put the packs that far foward.

Got your PM. Will order props and get them to in a week or two.

I look forward to getting them ... will let you know when they get here.

The COB is at 30% with the lipo's where they are and the stringers are 4".
