Pretty sure some small ones I have seen were made by Jeff Wohlt here on ose. A friend has them on his twon kb45 falcon 41"

Those motors will explode on 5s. 4s is much more reasonable, and that's still 32,000 rpm unloaded.

That's really still being determined. I'm not building a boat to specs, rather just building a good usable boat, loosely defined. There are still several choices here. I'm seriously considering the Arrow Shark Hull. To know if it is a good choice or not, I'll need to know what parts to go with it and what equipment to use.

Especially if I can leverage my existing equipment, then great. If not, consider the best alternatives. Most importantly what ESC/Motor setup to use.... and cost.

I run those motors on 6s all the time, but never in a situation where they might cavitate or become instantly unloaded like on a prop. Will be a lighter setup using 4s, so if that's enough RPM and power from them, then 4s is OK.

I've attached a photo of the dimensions of the sponson transom. IDK if that's enough or not.

That would be great. The only ones I've found are about 45mm tall. Anyone have a link? *see photo attached for dimensions*

I knew what you meant. =)

So, in short, if there are stingers/struts that will work with the Arrow Shark and using 2 1515/1y Motors is adequate for 40-50 mph, then it's a go.

IF the dual 1515's are questionably too small or the stingers/struts are an issue with the sponson transom space; it's time to investigate big single motors/ESC's. Used or new. I saw justintime had a some for sale... Maybe that's a better way to go.

Also in the running is the Avenger 44", I'm still awaiting response from Aeromarine for specs on the hull. Good stuff.

The Avenger is a great handling hull. Likes rough water too. A Neu 2215 really makes that kittty come alive. Lots of good feedback if you search the web.

Wow, just re-reading this thread. It's amazing how much information I've picked up since I started this thread.

I can't wait for the hull to get here next week. Cool stuff.

Tracking was just updated, it's out for delivery!

Am I the only one who has tracking book marked and looks several times a day on everything I order? One click opens up every link in the book mark folder in one tab group. =)

Well, it arrived. The packaging wasn't the greatest, but it survived the trip. The mailman let me fully inspect it before signing for it. There was some damage to the hull hatch, but very minor cracking.

Something came loose in shipping. I think it's the bottom of the hull/hatch lock. I can't seem to get it to unlatch so I can get a look at the inside of the hull. The whole boat is much heaver than I expected.

It looks like they already installed the hardware, the strut and rudder are already bolted on. I did order the hull hardware kit, but didn't expect it installed! Sometimes, I think I'm a magnet for order mistakes and RMAs. About 2 out of every three orders I make are arrive slightly altered, usually with extra parts or somebody elses order entirely.

Here's some photos of the hull- The decals aren't applied the best and there are some crinkles, but overall the finish is really nice. The wood stand isn't sealed, but I can polyurathane it, no worries.

The hull/hatch has real rivets around the top.

Looks like he threw in a couple of props to go with the drive hardware. Very cool.
These are real louvered vents, not fake. Interesting. Same with the very real looking exhaust pipes on the transom.

                                Good stuff!

I'm off to try to figure out how to get the hull/hatch off without tweaking anything.
