I'm going to start my Aeromarine Conquest build soon, this boat will be somewhat of a budget build with a twist ! I will be mounting up 4 540 9t XL's (the real cheap ones from H.C.) and 4 Turnigy 180's !! I will be making my own motor mounts with 2mm carbon fiber sheets and alluminum angle.I will use Speedmaster struts and possibley mono style turn fins( I also might design my own with 2mm carbon turn fins). I still need to figure my drive layout, I have three ideas, 1) struts spaced at the sponsons with left and right both at each sponson 2) struts center with boat , maximum centered with left n right on each side 3) struts evenly spaced across transom with left and right at oposite sponsons and a tight left n right at center of transom .I'm kind of leaning towards #2. I will be putting a single speedmaster dual pickup rudder with 4'' ext. down the middle. My goal with this boat in sport set up is 60mph on 4s and 80+ on 6s. I also bought 447x 2 blades left n rights , these worked good on my twin MM. I am also going to use a DX6I so can program my inside props to slow slightly in the turns.
I have been thinking of this build for a while now and I dont think I can go on with the FE hobby anymore with out building it !!Any sugjestions would be apreciated and considered for the build.
I have seen some nice battery trays made from carbon fiber I would like to score if someone knows wair.Should start getting my stuff to build now, it was ordered last week ! It will be intresting !
I think I will brand the boat '' Miss Overamped''
Its going to be intresting to see how much I will be able to pack in this thing !
