I have done vacuum bagging before, but not set up for it right now with this mold. Afraid it might crack it further as it is only a plaster cast.

And everyone keeps telling me weight is not an issue anymore with FE. But they use Carbon fiber? Why not just use an extra layer of glass or two?

Hmm, I was going to just go with twin brass tubes sticking out the rear, non adjustable. Kind of plain jane, but functional.

Thinking about it more, I might be game on that. Any pictures or samples on what you might have in mind?

small turnigy servo, aluminum mount I made from 1x1 angle that is slimmed down further. TGY-533178 from HK, same one I have been using in my small 15" hydro and 1/16 shovel nose hydro. Control linkage will have to bend down some due to the servo horn being near the top.

That is a AA battery in there. Looks large huh? Motor is a 2632 mystery and is really small. Can't believe people build these from wood at 15" long!

              motor mount

Motor mount. I made the mounts for the crackerboxes out of 1/16 aluminum. Drilled the mounting holes out 1/8" and the center was 3/8 I think, maybe 5/16?

Well, the mounting pattern is the same for the 26mm outrunner, so I set one of those in there just for testing. I will make up a smaller version for this so the motor sits lower in the sponson. I would think this motor would push this hull on a single drive also. It is rated for 25 amps. At 2s, that is about 1/4 HP.

                    Update

been busy getting a couple of crackerboxes shipped out mainly. Also working a mono right now, a little bigger than the mystic. Added foam to the mono hull tonight.

The other thing I am waiting on is I need to test my little DF hydro, trying the little mystery in it. If the outrunner works in there, I will order another two I guess for the small mystic. If not, well then maybe I will order just one more. Of course, I never heard back on the small stingers, so maybe depending on how the DF hydro goes, maybe I will just put in one. Maybe a steerabel drive. Lots of questions before I decide.

That and I am itching to buy a Genesis cat...

Are you sure you do not need a new hull or at least the deck? Hate to see you fighting it.

                    Let me know. Brian

Yeah, I had it humming on that 2845 turnigy. But, I want to try the small outrunner as a test. It will be slower, but might be a good one for my 8 year old to start learning how to run a hydro.

Sweet. I first ran it with a Tenshock 2600kv from a micro hydro. Then with a Feigao 280 8l on 3s! It was a little rocket! Sorry to get off topic BTW.

I did the bondo on the side that had the crease and tryed to fill in some of the wavy in the sides but i thought it was good and sprayed the hull with epoxy paint but it wasnt filled as good as i thought (BUMMER) maybe i can scuff it and still fill it more...
