How can someone even begin to try and compare our sh*tty healthcare with the government run health care in Canada or Gr. Britain? Ridiculous!!

I can't believe people are supporting their positions by quoting Michael Moore...

It's not just insurance companies. They are just reaping the rewards of an out of control system. What if you could get an estimate for healthcare much like auto repair?
You could shop around for the lowest rates. In addition, hospitals could be rated on quality of care.

Yea, the U.S. as an advance nation, needs a lil' advancing...once we get those Elephants and Donkeys out of the room. Look how we threat our vets... They should get lifetime care once you do a 4 year tour, especially in a war zone. I remember in Ft.Benning they tried to say I had a twisted intestine: The doctor was salivation with his knives.

I don't see anything wrong with Moore's work! He brought a lot to light, and as far as I'm concerned. Anyone who breaches the hulls of this corrupt machine is fine with me.

Makes you wonder, if congress had to pay for their own healthcare, at their age, would they act with due diligence to remedy this problem. I really don't care which party comes up with a solution, as long as it is better than what we have now. The healthcare industry and insurance companies should adapt to the much needed changes. Right now, they are little more than financial terrorists.

You hit the nail right on the head, they don't care and never did, because theirs is for free courtesy of the people.

When they have to be covered under the EXACT SAME PLAN, then I'll be considerably less suspicious and it will likely be a much more palitable plan... But they aren't, and aren't expected to be...

REALLY? You don't get it??? You think an edited bunch of film clips is gospel, but you don't believe your own President when UNEDITED film/audio segments show him clearly saying he envisions "single payer"??? It's already been proven for "Bowling for Columbine" that Moore left critical "the rest of the story/context" type film clips on the editing room floor... You don't think his stuff is taylor-cut to send a specific message?? Come on!

The President has, thus far, acted on EVERYTHING he's said he was going to... Are you calling him a liar??

Personally, I'm inclined to believe him on this.... and I don't like the idea of the Government having that much control over our lives...

Micheal Moore is the best example of how anything can be manipulated to support anyone's views.

Darin hit the nail on the head. Wasn't Micheal the star of "Super Size Me"

Right. He's a liar, our health care is the best in the world because we get raped with fees. Our tax dollars going toward the health and medical treatment/presciptions of American citizens is an absurd idea and doesn't work anywhere in the world.

So instead of healthcare being a growth industry, providing jobs for millions of people at every level from volunteer to paid EMT to research scientist to government bigwig (CDC), it will be seen as a negative.

It takes smart people to innovate. Take away their incentives and you have another Russia. See how China was transformed financially once people were allowed to own businesses and make a profit that they could keep?

We're heading in the opposite direction.
