If that were the case why do they support entitlement programs for those who elect not to work, who elect not to pusue an education , who elect to sit idle while the govt sends them a check every month, who perpetually elect to exercise zero self-discipline knowing that they will be the beneficiaries of their own party who would prefer that they wallow in their own undignified squaller rather than lift themselves up and be productive members of society??
