Heck! What about all the problems our current system has?
You actually think any of that would get better if run by the government? You would be sadly mistaken. Remember these are the guys who pay 10,000.00 for a toilet seat for the pentegon!

Or used 84,000 of taxpayer money for a night on the town in NY

Lets look at IHS (Indian Health services) this program is so late on making payment to heath care providers that the patients have been cut off from service in places around AZ where I used to live.

One more thing. Health insurance premiums do affect profitability with all businesses. Higher healthcare costs are putting a stranglehold on american businesses. As costs rise businesses have to adjust the cost of their products and services or cut corners in quality to compensate, while others to stay competitive will "farm out" labor to other countries that offer lower operational costs. Do these countries have a nationalized healthcare system? Someone should research that. China, India, Mexico, etc.
What I'm saying is healthcare costs affects us all, whether directly or indirectly.

You where talking about health care and the gummit stepping in, they waste more money in one month than the private sector in a year. That is the underlying issue. If the gummit wants to help set up coops with insurance companies and regulate the premiums. Then losses can be spread over many companies to soak up potential losses. as for preexisting conditions the gummit could provide a rider to insurance companies to cover that for a 24 month period. at a fraction of the cost. There are a million ideas out there that would be much more practical and cost less but that is not what Obama wants.

Not disputing that the government wastes ALOT of tax payers money. The government is not (not supposed to be) a profit generating corporation. But the medical industry has as a whole has colluded to raise costs, reduce quality of service and take everyone, that means you, me, the government, for a wild ride. We are paying far too much and getting far too little. There used to be a saying, "At least you have your health." Well not anymore 'cause someone or something wants to make a generous profit off of it. And many peoples consensus on the matter is, "Well if you can't afford it, to hell with you." Heck, if someone would come up with a plan to get these costs down, make healthcare accessible to every U.S. citizen at a very affordable rate with good quality of care, I'm for it. I'm even for a healthcare quality rating service. Where healthcare providers are rated on their services. I also would like some transparency with their billing practices. Would you take you car in for repairs and not get an estimate?

I couldn't find them. But the ideas you have presented here seem sound enough.

I watched this video 4 times, and I understand why we still have an electoral college.

Go down to your local car dealer. Ask him how much of the $4500 he's seen for the Clunkers program, and how long it took to get it.

Ask your doctor how long it takes to get paid by Medicare. Sure, the check comes EVENTUALLY, but in the mean time the gov't is taking a loan from an unwilling lender.

Almost NO ONE in America... including Hannity, Rush, and Beck, thinks that "Health Care Reform" doesn't need to happen... That's a BS line of CRAP put forth by the Lefties who are trying everything in the book to grow the government to monumental proportions... They WANT CONTROL of everything and will stop at nothing to get it...

Obama is a freaking LIAR, as proven OVER and OVER and OVER again by the facts... His little speach, in which he continually says that there are NO solutions being put forth by the right, proves this point...

HR3400 is and MANY, MANY, MANY other Republican bills and amendmants have been rejected over and over and over again by the Dems... Pelosi and Reid have refused to even listen to any other ideas... And Obama's "open door" has NEVER let in a Republican group to discuss "their ideas"...

Non-Partisanship, in the Obama camp, means that we will just blindly agree with what they want to do... otherwise, we are racist, "playing politics", etc...

It's all a freaking snow job, fueled by media hype, and intent on covering up the current regimes intent on grabbing up as much power as possible, and, in turn, as much of YOUR money as possible...

YOU people need to WAKE UP and get real.... To think that MOST Americans would be AGAINST saving money, which is EXACTLY what you are saying when you suggest they are against "Health Care Reform", is just buying into media hype and exactly what they want you to think... You are a bunch of pawns, being manipulated by these people, for THEIR own political purposes...

                          WAKE UP!!!
Darin are you talking to me , I am only quoting what has been put forth on this forum.....no where else , there have been debates both ways but the general idea I got was a lot of you didn't want it

I don't listen to the news , yours or ours , thats always been a sensationalized black hole of crap

Outstanding video! It shows the level of ignorance of those who buy into the right wing lies. People like Beck easily stir up the emotions of STUPID people who don't try to go find the truth...they only regurgitate his rhetoric. Case in point is toward the end of the video where there are people protesting czar's. When the interviewer points out that the czars started under Ronald Reagan, they are speechless! Such a high level of ignorance permeates the right and the sycophants of the Republican party. This is very dangerous.

Darin, where were you during the Bush years? Your statement was more true then as it is now. You say you're tired of hearing about Bush? We are not tired of rubbing it in your face that it was Bush that started our current economic crisis and did nothing but lie to us. Where were you to condemn him? It's totally amazing to me that you cough up the talking points of the right now that the left is in control. Right is right and wrong is wrong and Bush was more wrong than the left is now! Can you get your mind around that? I doubt it. Your mind is closed to any reasonable discussion unless it agrees with the rhetoric, hate, and lies of Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Fox news, etc. Step outside of your deadlocked mind for a moment and use your own reasoning. You might find it refreshing.
