I would hope so Randy, but Scott claimed three different times he sent me the motor. He and I go way back. Unfortunately nothing ever turned up. Bummer! At least I turned him on to the best motor manufacturer in China. The motors should be very good. Hoping he's going to get at least an 800KV version.

Funny he just called me..... He had read this by chance. Glad he did and he wants to back up what he said. Cool if he makes the note and reads it at the right time and does not forget!

        Motor has been shipped!
        tracking number sent.

You guys have no idea how busy I have been.

Sorry for not keeping a good track of the boat part.

Is that the 770kv motor? Cant wait to see how this goes now with a different motor.

The new motor is cool but some of us already got this one so lets keep trying to make progress. I dont think the kv is an issue . Lets remember the lower th kv the better the torque on any motor so lets stop bashing the slightly lower kv motor. I wanted a lower rpm and a higher amp draw because the numbers show 15 percent more hp at that setting. Less rpm puts less stress on the mechanics of it all and it also makes for a more efficient set up.I was trying to get the hp in the range of the nitro that came out of the hull. With the screamer this 13.5 pound boat should jump set up right. Do yall agree?

I have seen the "guts" of a Scorpian. And big brushless inrunners like Neu's and Lehners. What bugs me about outrunners (and not all of them but some) is that the wires coming out of the case are not the original windings strands like inrunners. Those leads coming out of the case are crimped inside the motor on some motors. A junction point. My concern is how well they all conduct equally. You may have nothing to worry about. But I would certainly do the checks just to see.

Mark is more qualified to state a rating as he already has some experience running the motor in one of his hydros.

certainly scott can tell us about the internals. Scott, LOL. Whats the heat rating on the wire used. Can it be improved upon. Oh I almost forgot is it a delta wind?

I was using 5,000 A-hr LiPo pacs (new) rated at 45 C. I also used the Turnigy 200A HS controller recommended for this giant brushless. The problem was the draw was so heavy on the motor the voltage dropped significantely in a very short time. I wanted to measure thrust so I had a giant 27" carbon fiber prop on it. The max I could get out was around 4 HP or so. I even added way more pacs to compensate for the voltage drop but even that did not help much.

I talked to Mark this morning and am going to borrow his Lil Screamers to put into a giant Aeromarine Laminated yellow Cannard that Remy built for me. I have included a picture of the boat along with the dual rudder/0.250" drive for it. I have all the Eagle Tree Equipment so will install it to see what happens. My guess is that the RPM is going to be too low to really have any significant speed. My previous experiments with Scorpion Inrunners in Mean Machines was pretty much a failure for the same reason.....not enough RPM even though I used some giant props.

But, after all, we only learn from failures.........and I am becoming really smart these days!
Beefy hardware in the pics my friend. Just a note you needed probably 10000mah or more.I dont know if you ran your5000mahs @2p or what . I dont think 5000mah will support such an endeavor.

Sorry to say the motor never showed up and Fedex has no record of ever having received it. Bummer!

Scott just contacted me with the Fedex tracking number for my motor. Thanks Scott. Hope your new motors arrive soon! I know all the factories in China have been swamped with back to back to back trade shows since the first of the year!

You ordered it straight from litte screamers? The reason I ask is because the guy that handles that a epower or whomever is a trip. If you want fast delivery on the motor and some feedback on shipping go with steve and ose. When I went through a hassle ordering the motor from the other guy scott called me personally and helped me out. Sometime your buddies will ruin you business. The guy even lied to scott about the friction between us so go with steve and ose and eliminate the hassle and that dude that makes scott look bad. Scott u need to get rid of that dude that handles your direct orders hes a goofball.

Evidently were just gonna get weaker and weaker as a country. We dont make anything anymore. This is rediculous. I bet you one thing: If my esc works out It will be made manufactured and supported here in the US if I have to hand build each one myself.Im sick of watching all the money leave the us. It makes it hard as hell for small business owners such as myself to survive. We keep it up well be slaves dancing to some other countries tunes. This info pisses me off.

The guys knew that I bought the motor to support what I though was an american company and they let me do it knowing that they send my dough across seas. I dont appreciate it. It wont happen again trust.

I am not sure what your saying??
The motor sent to Slair was a trade for a boat he gave me a few years back. He did not buy it!

I design and proto type all motors here in the USA Then they are built overseas, I could never offer these motors at $149.99 if built here? It would be double for sure. We are very serious about giving a quality motor for a fair price. As for Robert he is a funny guy sometimes and I am sorry you all did not see eye to eye.
