                  well right now i'm trying to figure out how to program it.....I assume you do this out of the boat with a 6v battery pack......so far I have plugged in the battery pack and the esc and I cant get the led's to light up...acts like its dead...any ideas?

                    If the voltage is to low it will not arm , 2 to 6 cells or 7.5 to 22.5 volts

                      ok I discovered that the lipos have to be plugged in...it then worked

                          These have an onboard ubec and do not require a 6v receiver pack , in fact I can almost guarantee it might fry the unit if one is connected up

                              Peter, that is very interesting, you are stating that if you remove the BEC circuitry and employ a 6V receiver pack it will go boom. Or have I got this all wrong, as old age is creeping in.

                              Or are you stating that using a 6V receiver pack and the BEC circuitry connected, it will go boom, when you connect the LI-PO batteries
