nope on the anti seize Bill, although engine assembly lube works great... if your talking about losing several 3/16 cables in that big boat, I dont think lube is the problem. I think you need 1/4 cable for it, and maybe an oiler. Yur puttin about 10 horse on that small cable, pushing a 20lb boat. Something has to give.Comment

Only lost one in it Brian and have already swapped it over to the .250 cable. The cable didn't actually break though. It just grabbed ono the teflon liner and started spinning it. That in turn generated enough heat to soften the epoxy holding the brass tube and it started spinning until it burned through the nylon cable ties and started whipping around inside the hull. The .250 cable is installed without a teflon liner.
This Sunday's test n tune is going to be almost like starting over with it. New strut for the 1/4" drive (eyeballed set to close to the same angle). Futaba radio installed, and yesterday robbed the SF 240 out of the Arapaho and stuck it in it. (Didn't want to chance starting a fire in front of the gas guys with the Castle).Comment

I'll be interested to see how that Vietnam crafted fiberglass leg works. It sure is a cool looking piece.Last edited by RayR; 08-23-2011, 03:41 AM.Comment
