We can do that. My wife expressed interest in this evening, so I might try with her. In any case, I think I'll be down for tomorrow, granted everything at home stays together! Well, since I didn't hear anything, I made a few runs with my wife last night.
I ran for the first time, the green Renegade on that new prop Egneg finished for me a while ago and an Ammo motor. It ran OK, but needs adjustment to the strut. There was a lot of bouncing around. No apparent prop walk or torque roll though. Speed judged by eye = 25-27 mph, but has potential for much more! It took a nasty skip once and took a dive at least down 3 feet or so, but popped right back up to the surface, although upside down.
I ran the No Step 1 on that larger prop. It ran OK, but had some bobbing. I'll be making adjustments to the strut and the trim tabs. Speed judged by eye = 37-38 mph, but was not trimmed out well.
Last, we ran the Oberto. If you remember, this was the ABS plastic hull. Water pickup continues to drag at low speed while not on plane. The larger servo has fixed the issue with not being able to turn, but I think it needs a turn fin due to the prop walk with nothing to turn against. I put that same larger 1/8" prop that I tried on the No Step on the Oberto. I swapped the motor and now features that Feigao 380L. Anyway, the thing flew! It had some serious prop walk and had difficulty turning due to no turn fin. It still drags until it's on plane and seems like CG is too far back, => speed judged by eye 15 mph, then when it hops up on plane, all at once it's going 35 mph at half throttle. The water had a few larger ripples that upset it at these speeds, but you know I had to try to open her up. So, I opened her up to 3/4 throttle. I had to keep working the throttle when it skipped and got a little air for a split second, but she was flying. I'd say it was as fast and faster than my BJ when it was running on Diego's 4s packs. Observed speed judged by eye was roughly 40 mph. It still had way too much air underneath, so some strut adjustments are in order. Then I'll determine if I need a turn fin. And yes, this all did end with a wicked blowover at maybe 42 mph or so, LOL! It had to have been 3 or 4 feet off of the water! What fun! No damage, nothing got wet, landed upright after a few rolls/skips across the water....Bottom line? No harm, no foul!IMPBA: 7-Time FE World Record Holder "Don't think outside the box. LOL, that's kind of how my day went! And may today. TBD at this time, LMAO!
If I run, I need video proof on the Oberto before I abandon that setup and I really do some damage! I hate to tone it down, but it seems a little outrageous and a handful to drive.

I'll bring the documentary equipment. I missed a run with my scale guys today because of a grocery store that will remain unnamed"A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough."

Could you bring a piece of the red you sprayed on the Jet? I want to compare it to the red on the mini bud.
Thank you!"A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough."

It looks like it's going to be really windy for a run tomorrow. Egneg, how close are you with that rigger? I should be ready with the X-Crab Evo late next week.
At least they don't catch as much air as some of the other boats. I like you sail idea though, LOL!IMPBA: 7-Time FE World Record Holder "Don't think outside the box. Rather, refuse to admit that the box exists in the first place!"
