Fred, or Terry, or ???
According to the entry details, it mentions that "classes may be added after February 28 when classes that did not fill are dropped "
What constitutes "did not fill"?? If the class has 8 available slots, and only 6 fill, is it gone??Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

It's not an exact science.
Say there are 16 slots for a given class and we only get 7 or 8 entries for that class. That means there's an entire heat of boats we scheduled for that didn't fill. We would try to shift those entry slots to a class that people want to run. Q Cat and Q mono haven't received near the interest we anticipated. P Cat still has 18 slots of 24 available. Clear sign we guessed wrong on that. We may pull the trigger early on opening up a class if support is overwhelmingly lopsided. This is why it's important to send Fred an email to be put on the list for a class you missed now and not in spring. Until we get enough guys wanting a particular class to make another heat though it will likely be waiting.
The interesting thing to me is that for all the flapping about missed classes the waiting list hasn't got that many guys on it. I don't know if "send an email" is too complicated or what.
This is also why I was and am still anti N1. I recognize the challenge but nobody really digs it. We offer that class just "because". It takes up slots that someone could have been running a class that has national appeal or at least has some flash and flair. It just doesn't spark interest in the hobby. We get spectators. Nobody asks "what time to the slowest boats run? Wanna make sure I'm in a good viewing spot for some low speed racing."
N1 bashing quota achieved. Back to our regularly scheduled hand wringing.Noisy personComment

H20 versus BBY.
Not a long enough walk on a short pier.
Or two guy's that were once in good physical shape.
Anybody think of any others?Comment

Two racing teens. FE miles are tough.

Just goes to show you that, it doesn't matter WHAT you are racing... when you take it seriously and race it well, it's FUN!! :PDarin E. Jordan - Renton, WA
