Well, here goes noth'n.....
As most of you know, response to this event has been stellar. Better than we expected to be honest. The mathematics that go with this response have sunk in. None of us wants to be racing into the evening.
Pretty sure our gang is the only FE club that has a point of reference for an all FE race of this magnitude. Here's how it goes...........you get off the water at say 8:00pm having not eaten since lunch. Then clean up, load your gear, go to the hotel, carry all the stuff in you need to wrench for the night........then find some food. Social hour? NOT! It's 11:00pm and you're just getting started preparing for tomorrows heats. Ugh Been there done that. Now do it for 4 days straight. Some might dig that but those that have to make it all work are not on that list.
So to save our sanity and make the pace more tolerable for all we're going to move some of the classes to Tuesday. Yes......that IS a 5th day of racing. Brings the heat counts back to manageable. This should also allow us some wiggle room on the class count caps if needed. Despite tales of hand wringing over the class count caps, as of this typing there are no racers that are on waiting list for a class that I'm aware of so the cap is holding nobody back.
So........the following classes will be moved to Tuesday:
N1 Mono
N2 Mono
SV27
OPC
P Mono
Q Mono
Registration will be closed for a few days while Fred moves everything around to fit the new scheme.
We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause anyone but we figured better now than waiting.Noisy personComment

P-Mono and Q-Mono on the same day may put a slight hardship on those running both and thinking of using the same hull, but otherwise, this seems reasonable...
Wait... You are Moving N1 Mono? That's it... I'm out....

So - Monday is open water?
The Michigan Club rocks. We'll do what is needed.
However - my opinion is - too many classes.

Doug, just for you will drop everything over 4s...........haha Really? "No not really. I can't back that up." I figured since I look so much like Doctor Evil.
Honestly, there were classes Fred and I were certain wouldn't/couldn't/no way/not gonna happen field a heat. Not only did they but they went two heats deep. What the heck!Noisy personComment

Doug
you are right we logged 34 and with the normal fill rate at our races we were planning on about 6 classes not running to take us to 28 over 4 days 7 classes a day no problem. with all the classes running that's right so far all the classes have the min number to fill( we are trying to have a 7 boat per heat max) there was a day when we had 88 heats LOL last year at the cup the most we ran was 64.
Just a heads up on sat there will be a total of 20 heats of just P-Limited sport hydro. place in that class and it will make a statement alone, you will have to beat 34 of the top racers from all over.
This is shaping up to be huge as off right now we have 52 racers and 417 boats and its still early
