Just a reminder to everyone that Payment for the Entry is due to Fred on 2-28-2014.

I printed out the invoice this morning... I'm signed up for 13 classes total... I did an account of what boats I currently have ready to go, or almost ready to go... I came up with 3...

Not sure how I'm suppose to get these other classes ready!

OH-BOY! There is still hope! I just reviewed again and realized that I actually have ONE additional boat all ready to go! That makes 4...

I'm cutting back a bit. WW10 reminded me what makes racing fun for me. It's not the same for everyone. Some guys like to go go go go. I like to race with my buds, shoot poo, socialize, and make sure everyone else gets to race. Oh, and act a fool. For me that's an art in and of itself. I think that's why my performance at big events tends to be less than stellar. I'm too easily distrac.........EW SHINY!

Maybe I should just switch be PR.

I may end up having to do the same, but I'll stay signed up for now. Since we don't run most many of these classes locally, it doesn't always make sense to try to build competitive boats for all of these classes. They'll just sit all year.

I am putting together what will hopefully, eventually, be a "foundation" fleet. Like Newland and some of those AZ guys do, where they seem to have a core set of boats that work VERY well in a variety of classes. Even if a few sit year round, that would make these events less stressful.

Send your fleet down and I'll do some testing for you Doby. We had our first race this past weekend and enjoyed 60+ degrees in the afternoon.

                    Found it!

Hulls in each class will not exceed the length given in the following table:
                    Class Maximum
                    M-2 27”
                    N-1 N/A
                    N-2 27”
                    P-Limited 34”
                    P 34”
                    Q 40”
                    S 60”
                    T 60”
                    b) See Rule A.4 in this section for measurement guidelines.

Now I have to decipher this:

                      c) HULL SPECIFICATIONS
                      i) Hulls shall conform to the hull length measurements in rule D.2.a in
                      this section.
ii) All riding surfaces (drive train and prop not included) must be in the
front 50% of the total hull length.
iii) A single triangular (from side profile) stuffing box for the driveline
will be allowed as long as its primary purpose is to house the driveline
and dimensions don’t unreasonably exceed that purpose.
iv) Ride pads and/or steps are allowed but must be an integral part of the
                      sponson design.
                      v) Picklefork hulls shall not have open areas ahead of the aft edge of the
sponson riding surface totaling more than 25% of the total hull length.
vi) No boat shall have an afterplane* greater than 60% of the total length
of the boat. The afterplane will be measured from the back of the
front sponson planing surface to the transom. Note: The afterplane is
the entire main hull aft of the sponsons; i.e. the "fuselage".

I did some measurements like this in my Popeye thread to prove its OK....

I challenge anyone to measure every hull out there that people bring to the races...that would slow things down substantially!

They put in a nice shanty and a 18 hole ice mini golf course near the starting line. There were kids sledding down a new luge run through the pit area. Winter fest was fun, but I'd rather be boating!

I honestly don't know how you guys get so many boats done in so little time! It must be absolute madness!!!! I'm only trying to build (3) for June, and now I need an 'overflow' table outside of the workshop..... this is hurting my plan of 'keeping them all separated so somebody doesn't start counting'.
