I think you mean a BEC?

BEC sure but is it just that the external one's are better than an ESC with a BEC built-in?

Ever hear of a Castle Mamba Monster esc... thats how.... I have a funny feeling the same type of esc tech is at work here.... I run 6s through my erevo all day using the esc's bec....

I would think about this boat if it was under thew $300 mark, and one more thing , body clips on a boat??
I run body clips on my Delta Force 45" Sniper and I did on my Delta Force 40
mono too... good way to keep the hatch on.... and you know when they are on.... trick is put tape on and around the hatch first over the posts for the body clip... then poke the clip through the tape.... works slick actually.... knowing traxxas they probably have seals around the posts as well.... if you put O rings on betwwen the posts and the hatch it keeps most of the water out too....

I'm sure same as the Monster esc and they work great on 6s

I dont have any experiance with the mamba monster but it sounds like it can handle things well then. Good to know. I was kind of asking in lines with a future build that might go up to 6s.

I guess I don't know to much about boats, I just seen most cheap boats made out of abs, therefore the traxxas boat should be priced cheaper/

It may be the exact same.
from what I have heard about some of traxxas's speed controls they are clones of other company's speed controls.
ex. the evx-1 was novak and the evx-2 is a beefier clone
maybe the vxl-6s is a re-cased castle mamba monster and castle isn't giving up like novak did.
who knows, it's all useless speculation until the boat materializes
sources say 12/10 but we all know how that's gone.

Castle works with Traxxas on some of their products

                            Hey Traxxas it's December!!!!
Santa - use your stroke and don't let them push the release even more. Remember you have lots of people to please and I'm sure you'll want to hear many "HO HO HO's" as that Spartan screams across the water.

                                12/10 looks very promising
at least that's when it's hitting the warehouses.
rest of the parts are hitting 1/15 so don't break anything
motor, speedo and graphic hull are way over priced for what they are.
white hull is cheep, 92% of the price is the graphics. although if you look at traxxas's parts pdf they are doing a *Lifetime Replacement* on the hull.
they added a temp sensor to the motor not sure where it's going. traxxas power module pdf
the receiver is also a new part, they're also expecting us to oil the driveshaft I thought grease was preferred
