Most manufactures make claims of certain speeds "right out of the box" but in most cases,,,its 0 Mph because they don't include batteries in the box. At least this one will do 30 out of the box as it comes with batteries.....

Actually, come to think of it,,,it probably won't do 30 out of the box....batteries will probably have to be charged first!

I think this Titan looks cool! Traxxas has had the "titan" motors (550's) in the e-maxx from the begining and I don't know what legal issuse this presents, but out of the box on 6S?! I would welcome lots of new people around me who have boat for $300+ who could sorta keep up with mine at the pond! I have lost all the fun guys to run with up here since Jesse J moved back home

So they should change their slogan to be 30mph after two hours out of the box? LOL

I am so on board with this boat!!!! Me being a long time sactioned nitro boat racer turned weekend electric fun runner, this boat is perfect for me and the 22 mile long lake i run on! I've had a blast with my SV27, love the boat, but my lake rarely gets calm enough to run the little SV27 all out, a 36" V-bottom is just what i need! Yeah, i'll stick with NiMh's, if it'll do 30+ with the Traxxas 7 cell 3000Mah batt's, what do you think it'll do with 5000mah 7-cell packs?? And if i ever do get the desire to go Lipo (i will eventually), it's all ready to go, great package!! Think i'll order a blue/white/black one, it'll go nicely with my blue/white/black Checkmate...

I am curious as to how this boat will handle choppy water... Any thoughts on this?

Obviously after driving something, you always want to go faster...however where I run I want something that will handle good on not just glass smooth water and I don't NEED 50mph which is why 30mph out of the box is good and will prob do 40mph on 4s lipos (and knowing I can go more is always a plus)

The price and speed is great, but will it handle the rougher water as well, worse, or better as say a Formula Fastech?

at least when the abs breaks apart on a 50mph blowover, the motor esc and driveline are all hooked together so you only have to search the bottom for one thing

I would hook one of these to it.

^^^ Really...hmm is that just because of its length?

Any other reasons you think it will handle the rougher water good?

Just trying to make my final decision on if this boat will be a good choice for the water I like to run in.

I know the Formula Fastech and the SV 27 are the same length, but the fastech handles rougher water WAY better than the SV does... so that is why I am asking about this boat as I am fairly new to the whole R/C scene and you guys know more about this stuff than I do.

                              Thanks!

                                same as on RCU
I've seen the Fastech run with the SVs and I would take a SV over them
