I have never hear sooooo much wining about rules and classes as I hear in boats(FE, Nitro, and Gas included). In rc dirt racing it is very simple. If you have 3 of something, it is a class.

Yep but boats are nowhere near as popular as cars and its nearly impossible to get people to show up, why because most people don't want to drive 20+ miles to a lake to run a boat in circles this one boat wont change that. The UL1 and SV27 didn't bring hordes of people to the lake, a few, but not like the amount the Slash did to the local tracks.

Uh, its the same in boats, usually 3 like boats will make a heat.

Everyone that ownes a Revo, Slash, Rustler is going to check out this boat, and alot will buy it. Why? Because it's Traxxas! And most LHS (because it's Traxxas) will have one in stock at all times.

My guess, This will be the most popular RTR on the market. Once these offroad guys get a taste of this boat they will catch the FE bug.

I predict the OSE membership will rise.

I guess we should just pack it in then. Nothing will draw new people to the hobby.
The boats you listed dont have a company with the following traxxas has behind them. They dont do 50mph out of the box either. I applaud anything that will bring new people to the lake. If it means we need to have a stock titan class so be it. It would really come down to driving and tuning skills then.....what a thought!

I think thats the whole idea of a sanctioned class structure no matter what class, It always comes down to driving and fine tuning. To expect special classes for each new boat that comes out is impossible.

True, but if 10 new guys show up with titans, it will be a different story, or at least I hope it will. I hope we don't tell them they cannot play too. IF this is the boat that brings them to the hobby in droves, it could end up being the most popular class. Just like short coarse racing reinvented dirt racing. I, for one, hope this boat is capable of doing just that. Imagine what that would do for our hobby?????

I wish there was some organized rc boat racing in my area. I'd love to get in on it. Unfortunately I can't find anything near here.

I agree, I'm on an 'RC Racing' forum, which is predominantly cars, but people are talking about this already; because it's Traxxas. In their minds; you get 'exactly what it says on the tin' and this point takes away any nerves or uncertainty about a new product. At one of our bashes I took my Triton and asked the rest to bring some boats, because there was a lake nearby. Most of them brought cheap RTR stuff and they were blown away to see mine do 60+mph. For them to be able to have a 50+mph boat 'out of the box' will be a big draw!!
Do or do not, there is no try!!!!!

"It’s the kind of boat you would expect from Traxxas: Extreme Velineon® brushless power, ballistic speed, and a huge waterfall of roost that rains down long after the boat speeds by. The howling fury of 50+ mph across the water on optional 6S LiPo power will make even the most insatiable, power-hungry enthusiasts jump up and take notice. Simply put, Titan "

Yes Jeepers, please read the add carefully as it does say 6S for 50Mph.

I'm starting to think that some are getting jealous that this boat out of the box will be right on their rudder!

Your kidding right????? I guess your boats just magically go all by themselves then????? No batteries needed???? And please stop screaming unless you have something to scream about! Now take your own advice and read the link you posted. They state 3 times on the first page that the boat does 50mph

Ok so now your going to start "yelling" your negative attitude about this breakthrough WHY

this is the fastest rtr production boat that has hit the market to date and to top it off its a big 36" in length

your the only one spewing negativety....its very simple

                                DON'T BUY THE DAMM THING
and stop with the crap...your pissing people off
