No I have not been making strut adjustments as I prop up. I have the strut adjusted to where I feel the boat is free and fast but not wrecking loose all the time.

Hey man, I know, however that day when things when south with the Voracity, it was only 2 mins in and I didn't even give it half throttle, the seas were calmer than any other day and I took the Voracity and the Zelos out to get some runs in. Actually it was from a stop to going about half throttle when it was all spinning and no go, it never even moved from the stop. In the words of Vin Diesel "So much torque, the chassis twisted coming off the line". In my case the flex cable broke!

          Hi guys

I am about to order the 4092 setup at ose. Just a question: should i buy the seaking of swordfisch 220 pro+? Because of the high amp draw i read about and because of the build in telemetry. Is the swordfisch as good as seaking?

1 more question: i would like to order 2 or 3 props for the 4092. One conservative, one regular use, one fast for a top speed run. Main goal is keeping everything in 1 piece. Which 3 props do you recommend? In the forum i see so much props i lost track a little bit.

          Thanx!

I ran a Seaking 180 with that setup for a while. Results are in this thread. I ended up switching to a Turnigy 180a because of the larger capacitor pack. That brought the cap pack temps way down. I don't like to take business from OSE but the Turnigy seems to be better than the Seaking for less money. They are actually identical except for the cap pack. I have not used the Swordfish.

For props, a very conservative prop I would say Octura M645. Even the stock boat should be able to run this pretty hard with no problems. For an everyday prop you should try an X450. The equivalent CNC prop ran 62.6mph on my 4092 setup. For all out speed I would recommend an ABC 2014-10-50/3 (three blade). That should run a hair over 70. There are a couple other props that have been around 1mph faster but they don't handle the greatest because of their large diameter.

Be really careful of your temps and of high speed wrecks. Every boat is tuned and set up differently so temperatures could be different for you. Check your temps often until you are comfortable that they aren't to hot. A wreck at these speeds could seriously damage the boat.

Steven told me the swordfish is water resistant only, i dont think this is a good plan, because flipping does occur time to time.. Probably more with more power. Too bad, because the build in telemetry does sound good. Bobs high amps make me doubt still a little at the 180 amp seaking?

Can 25-30c packs be used with this setup or is 40c minimum?

How can amp draw and rpm under load be calculated? Can telemetry be attached after market to the seaking Esc?

Killerbob, do you use the unisense e 280 with 2 X 4mm? Is that all i need for telemetry? Plug and play in the Voracity? Readings on the computer, not on site i presume? Or do you use unidisplay?

I have not tried lower C batteries but I would think you would need 40-50c at a minimum. I believe my batteries are 60c. You will probably need to turn off or turn the low voltage cut off way down on the ESC in order for it to not cut out on speed runs. The voltage sag will trigger the LVC.

At the very least you'll puff the batteries but yes you could damage the esc or start a fire.

Can anyone tell me what may cause my capacitors from the ESC on my voracity to burn out? The ESC still functioned surprisingly and the boat came back to shore ok. But upon opening hatch I had smoke and the capacitor burnt up. I also notice one of my packs is a bit puffed. It never hit LVC either. I'm assuming I am out a ESC?

Keagan, were you running the stock electronics with the x452?
