Thanks for the numbers Bob. Very interesting. I'm surprised that the amps are so high.

What speeds did you get with the 2214-10-50? Mine ran 72.4. A 2314-10-50 ran the same speed but with worse handling. You might want to try a 2014-10-50/3. It was just slightly slower. A x460 also ran 71.9 so that's an option too. I haven't done any more testing for a while now.

Thanks for the R&D on a different setup. I have a new Voracity hull I have not had time yet to transfer over the guts from the one with the cracked transom. Now I'm wondering if I should do the swap or build her with a setup like this. Is everything else stock aside from what you listed above?

It's been a while since I ran these props but they handled ok. I do feel like they are at the limit of diameter though. 2.2-2.3" may be the max because they start to chine walk in some water conditions. Keagan, yes everything is stock except for the motor, esc, heavy duty flex, and props. If you go for a setup like this, just be careful as you tune the boat and start running these speeds. A crash over 50 could really damage the boat.

Really I'm not looking at breaking any speed records as you may have seen in some pictures and videos, calm waters are hard to come by here. I just have that extra hull I would want to start building but would want it to be different from the stock voracity. Just a moderate setup that I don't have to be worrying about temps, chin walk, torque roll and all that jizz.

Do you guys know of any dual pickup rudder that will either bolt up over the factory holes or just the dualn pickup rudder that can replace the factory single one

Some guys add a brass tube on the rudder trailing edge, using JB Weld filled epoxy.

Excuse my ignorance but the dual pickup rudder you ask about is just for cooling?

Yes, a dual cooling rudder would have two intakes so you can cool your ESC and motor independently. I have not found a rudder that is a direct bolt on replacement. As of right now, I don't think one is made to fit the Voracity.

Took the Voracity and The Zelos out. Voracity lost X452, octura bullet nut and flex. After 2 mins of non violent burst. Zelos lost its drain plug. Anybody know the replacement plug I can use? I am about to order the OSE HD flex and might stick with the stock prop for now as I don't feel like purchasing x452 balanced and sharpened right now. Does the flex come with the washer?

When you grease the flex shafts, do you grease to the tip? That's a reason you could have lost your cable or it possibly wasn't tight enough, or a combo of both.

How did the drain plug come out? That's the weirdest thing I've read to have happened to a boat. If I remember you are not in the U.S. right? If you are Product Support has some spairs. If not, a 4mm cap head bolt works well, but it's not as pretty.

I made sure I didn't grease all d way to the tip, I forgot how much from the tip I left un-greased. A piece of the flex is still in the coupler all frayed up. Leave it to me Rafael to have some once in a blue moon moments. The boat flipped but not hard, once retrieved we notice it missing. I have one I can use from the voracity spare hull but eventually I'll need one for that. Do the upgraded OSE HD flex comes with Teflon washer? 3/16?

Would the impulse 31 plug work?

Don't know about the shafts from OSE. But I can tell you that not many 3/16" cables will hold up to the amount of torque of that large 52mm prop. If you'll be running props that large, you almost need 1/4" cable. I would say 48mm should be max for 3/16 drives, but that's just my opinion.

All oir fiberglass boats use the same drain plug.

I noticed in your videos thats some pretty good chop your normally running in, thats probably a decent amount of stress on a flex cable when your bouncing through waves like that

are you making strut adjustments every time you prop up ?
