Yep,you bet M-a-W. I've got a motor coupler issue right now. I'll disassemble and investigate.I'll try to mod it.It won't tighten enough for the .150 cable. The other coupler is fine.

The motor coupler issue: The problem:collet would not tighten enough

          The tool

The fix: slot the collet more so it will tighten enough.Doing all three slots as evenly as possible

There are reverse couplers out there. 6mm to 3/16" for sure, not sure about 5mm to .150 or 3/16" ??

I had the same coupler issue with my SM29 a couple of months ago. I also widened the slots. Great vid Shawn. So, when will the Komodo build start bud?

I don't need 3/16 for the Little G. 3/16 comes with it's own issues. I ordered a bunch of cable stuff from South River and now I have to find a silver brazer local.I thought I could glue them

Good find though Ray.How did you come up with that site? Nice little set of stingers on there.

They used to have an ebay store but, gave up and just have a website now. Not many people know them. Out of Vietnam I think?

I have a nice cooler for a 36mm motor from them. I've had it on a dozen motors and it works great, just pricey at $20.

I think those Cat hulls are made by Hanspeter? He had something to do with it I THINK?

If you dimple the flex cable (with prick punch) on each side after it's soldered the collet will have more to bite onto.

I would hope so with a price tag of $490 for a 1200cm bare hull

                          Hey,
                          Just use some tire weights,
That have the adhesive tape on them and cut off what you need.
                          For temporary testing.
                          ? ONLY IF THEY WORK

Wow Shawn! This build makes me think that I should start with my Skunkworks2 cat. There's another cat that I've been longing to have. It's the 17" MHZ Micro Iceberg. I lost one last November when a guy beat from a sale.
