R-42 Build
Hey guys,
Just thought I'd share some pics of my almost completed AC Models R-42 Cat! This is my 2nd gas boat and hopefully will maiden/break-in this coming Sunday!

Nice build Mardon!!!! Don't run it with that Champion sparkplug!!!!! They have been know to cause motors to seize.... Run a NGK instead... Search JRCBD on champion plugs and you will see what I mean...Miss Geico CC1515 2200kv T180 2S2S- Twin Genesis with 2 2700kv 2 T180's 4S2P- Stiletto with 2030kv T120 4S1P-DF33 4082 1600kv T180 6S2P- and lots of gassers!Comment

Thanks for that info Jason - I didnt know that.
Its a good thing that I have a package in the post office today - it came from Danielplace, so I think its the 10 boxes of NGK I got from the Dock. Its a good thing it arrived today Friday - just in time for the maiden this sunday!
Too bad the 1048 Zenoah big bore carbs I ordered from Russ hasnt arrived yet, so I'll be using a stock Walbro 257 for the Zenoah 290pum break-in :)Comment

Yeah, I was hoping you would notice that :)
Thats not a water pickup, thats an oiler. It is not connected to the strut but thru the stuffing tube. I have to acknowledge Master Opluna's expertise and 28yrs of experience in gas boating for tricks like this! hehehehe

Sunday Boating
Well, I still consider this Sunday a great boating day .............. even in spite of Stephen running over my Geico Gasser!
My boat died in the water, so everyone was suppose to steer clear - till here comes stephen and ramming it!
I dont mind the damage on the boat as that is repairable, but the 3 dents on my tune pipe is bothersome! 
I believe it was revenge for the taunting that my boat gave to his boat 2 weeks ago. It was like Nascar! 
The maiden run of the R-42 went well - it was trying at first but expected as we were setting up the carb in a new engine as well as finding a better prop. But when we got it - it was a smooth operator! I even found it smoother running than my Lazer 45 - and that mono runs sweet! AC Model Boats rocks!
Not a fast run as we were breaking-in the new Zenoah 290pum engine, but hope you enjoy this video:
I'll attach some pics below, but as a treat to you guys - here's one of our member, Alvin who is a very proficient RC Heli pilot doing what he is famous for:
He enjoys running boats too!
