Hey Mac! Jason was able to cut my topgun's box down to 50" without compromising the hull's safety. I think it's just about right because if we cut the box further down to 48". You zippkit's box is 48 x 2 x 12 won't fit inside. Remember we are talking about outside dimensions not the inside dimensions of the box. So, what do you think brother?
Your MG that started off as a hull

Even if Jason's box is smaller/bigger - we could always inform Pobox to re-pack for free. They will re-box both to make it into a single box :)Comment

4-6 boats?Did I miss a page in here or has Mac been laying up moulds?Comment
-
Yeah, I know how that sounds confusing - Im actually selling some of my FE boats and Jason was kind enough to temporarily shelter them till I post them up for sale here in OSE.
Shipping them individually from here will cost more, thus shipping them in bulk to the US will lower the cost on shipping as well as selling price.Comment

So hey guys, does anyone have an 42" Avenger?I'm looking into something for my 1717's.I thought perhaps I can get creative and add an stinger overhang and rudder extension. The pro looks good.I'm just kickin around ideas here.Maybe the hull bottoms are the same on many different hulls?Comment

So far his look like Gas racer's.I do want some scale like appearance.Maybe I'll have another look.
The MHZ and HPR don't handle that well at speed. I'm hoping maybe a gas hull would corner better, but not sure how they would handle great speed.I should be looking at 70 to 80 mph consistently. You guys got a good forum for these hulls with vid's?Comment

You can always check out gas boat forums like Jim's Dock - where these hulls live, but may not be related to your concerns since they use gas motors.
Besides, you might just get addicted to it - so Im just saving you money! hahahahaha :)Comment

It's been my experience that the more scale looking cats don't corner as well as the more modern gas cats on the market IE-aeromarine, AC, Strykers, and others. They might go 70mph but don't bother turning at speeds!!! If you find one that does , letme know. I will buy it too!!! About the most scale looking large cat the seems to handle well is the Expresscraft Thunderbolt.... IMO...Miss Geico CC1515 2200kv T180 2S2S- Twin Genesis with 2 2700kv 2 T180's 4S2P- Stiletto with 2030kv T120 4S1P-DF33 4082 1600kv T180 6S2P- and lots of gassers!Comment

I posted a thread in Jim's Dock awhile back asking for a Cat recommendation. Somebody recommended the Victory Cat by Central RC Hobbies and below is the video:
Would that be scale enough for you? Still, that uses gas power - so cant say how that performs in FE or if in a twin set-up, how it turns, etc. Lots of unknown unless someone is actually inclined to try it.
Victory Cat:
I could almost imagine the great paint job that Shawn can possibly do to that hull! :)Comment

That Victory cat looks just like my Thunderbolt!!! Compare the two and let me know what you think! I do know that the Thunderbolt handles pretty good. That's why I am buildingone with a 52cc inline in it... I reallyneed to finish that boat...Miss Geico CC1515 2200kv T180 2S2S- Twin Genesis with 2 2700kv 2 T180's 4S2P- Stiletto with 2030kv T120 4S1P-DF33 4082 1600kv T180 6S2P- and lots of gassers!Comment

You got pics of your thunderbolt?Comment

That Victory has a good look to it.The bubble is too big but forming a new hatch can be done.If that is like your Thunderbolt Jason, how long is the overhang?I would want to run cat stingers,HPR at this time,or the ones through Centrals link. I could build extensions.Comment
