I guess it is new at Kintec. How will those scoops look on the 37" cat Mardon
You mean the turbine holes or the back of the canopy center air scoop?
I plan to deviate a bit from the turbine canopy for MG/MC - probably only the center top mounted air scoop will remain the same.
For the 37" Cat, I plan to use a lower turbine port and submerged air scoops for both turbines.

Yeah I was meaning the Three scoop canopy you made.
On your cat where are stinger set,
In the video I thought your cat transit was riding high and made it spin out in the turn.
Lenny,I may try to raise the stingers a hair more.I think the 48's made it spin more.I've got some 4518's coming from Propshop so we'll try again then.

Oh that - I have it boxed, you want it? We could trade for it if you want. Its a one-off special ed!
Its also possible for a 3 scoop on the 37" Cat - maybe a 3rd canopy variant. My planned 2nd canopy for the 37" Cat would be a civilian turbine version.
I would probably be thinning out some of my stuff to fund the mold cost of the 37" Cat and 40" cig boat ............... not counting that gas boat cat hull im eyeing at Andy's site.
A sad day for us last Sunday as the pics below shows what happened to the maiden run of our dear stephen's first Lazer 45 gas boat.
Stephen was suppose to maiden her but a sudden family commitment forced him to be absent and he decided to let our gas guru maiden and trim her.
I came in late that day and was suppose to video the maiden when I was told the sad news. I thought the guys were kidding and I let them go on for 5 minutes - but when they showed me Stephen's hull, I became weak.
According to our gas guru the boat was doing well when it suddenly veered to the left and the motor was stopped. Upon retrieving, they saw the gaping hole and couldnt believe what happened. We run clockwise and the damage was on the right side so that actually deepened the mystery.
According to the retrievers/caretakers of the area that there is a large turtle in that pond but we havent seen any sign of that ninja turtle anywhere. We have been running in that pond for months and this is the first time that we've heard of this turtle that probably decided to sunbathe tsk tsk.
Its a good thing that the damage was right below where we placed the vertical support - which probably took the greatest force - if not for that support there, Im sure the damage would've been bigger.
The damage on the rudder was unbelievable, twisted blade and the 6" bracket looked like a banana. The forced sheered the bottom screw and the top one was so bent out of shape that it couldnt be removed except cut by a dremel.
To our surprise, stephen showed up last Sunday - he was on his way home from a family outing and decided to drop by - even to possibly run his boat for the first time. Alas, he was given the sad news. Stephen is a trooper and took the bad news with stride - its part of the hobby!
The rudder could be banged into shape and we'll fix the hull damage with fiberglass. Hopefully Stephen could maiden this the 2nd time around this coming Sunday.
Both the hull and the rudder is definitely repairable, but I do understand the frustration. While the boat was pre-owned, we had to change alot of parts as it didnt pass the quality of our gas guru who was kind enough to bring the boat to tip-top shape. We had to order parts online and even the stock wooden railings were replaced with fiberglass ones - so the investment grew higher a bit.
This was suppose to be the result of all the hard work done to the boat, then this unavoidable thing happened. I can only wish that this boat will give stephen many enjoyable experiences from now on!
