That is right! I'll get off you back I promise, after you make a bigger geico or daytona hull! Then I'll think of something new! Bwahahahaha!

However, tagasagwan and I are brainstorming the idea of possibly purchasing the Genesis thru HK. We could mod the hull and do the turbine canopy in one go. Atleast, if we ever made a mistake, it wont hassle any of you guys :)
But then again, busted up genesis/daytona hulls would be welcome as well - just as long as they will come out cheaper than buying a bnew hull from HK.
Yes, the plan is to make it a bit wider and maybe a hair higher to accept the ever increasing sizes of BL motors offered lately. Naturally, everyone's input to making this boat - would be welcomed and appreciated!
Hi, I have HK gen in my cart for $129.95
Any Idea how much shipping would be to you guys ?
For my canopy or the hole boat ?

A Daytona hull from HK to Manila, hobbyking charges close to $20. From the U.S., I would be guessing! But, I bought a 32" cat w/ hardware from the States and shipping cost me $45.

Going over HK earlier, airparcel shipping to Manila, Philippines from HK for the $130 Genesis is about US$20. Both Tagasagwan and I always elect the cheapest shipping hahahahaha!
If you elect to "donate" a canopy to the cause, I replace it with the final modded canopy in primer (non-painted form) for FREE! :) If you elect to donate a hull/whole boat to the cause, then I owe ya a whole boat in the same condition as the canopy above. Again, you take care of shipping both ways.

But lets not get ahead of ourselves, we are still looking at possible cheaper alternatives. Frankly, nobody likes to cut a bnew boat right smack in the middle with a grinder, then slapped with bondo, sand to shape, etch details, add details........then finally molding. The only best part is seeing the very first product pulled from the molds!
In cases such as this, the donated hull that serves as the mock-up could end up in the trash.

To save the donated hull, we could mold it as is - from the molds, pull a copy to do the mods - that pulled copy would serve as the mockup to be gutted. When done, mold anew ................. so thats 2 molds. Unfortunately, making the molds is the most expensive part of fiberglassing.

EDIT: oh, that $30 is for EMS. We dont want that shipping method, remember?

Hi Lenny,Ben said 8khz was good and I think the thrust bearing is needed as I can move the rotor back and forth about 1/8.BTW I found the two for the boat NIP.Also my new Shockwave is on the way.

Not sure, Sill testing mine on 4s2p with more props today.
You will be heavier with 6s2p and that may be better for that hull.
I have 4500mah and 5800mah and the boat still likes to fly and take off if I do not back off some,
Still trying to test what speeds I can get out of the setup I have.

I was referring to Tagasagwan's message.

Thats typical with HK - once you spend a few minutes looking at a certain product, a small window on the right pops-up with a one time offer discount. Only to find out that the discounted price is the same price for members or to those who sign up.
Prices are lower for members - so signing up is best. Its free anyway.
