The hull feels rock solid. Seriously, I am used the to build quality (or lack thereof) of the BJ 26 and the FasTECH and this is a much, much more solid hull. I would say that the fiberglass feels at least 2.5x as thick as my paper thin BJ26 hull.Comment

We are all going to have some awesome video posts of the MG very soon. I keep laughing because I think Traxxas made a HUGE mistake by delaying their Titan. I was all ready to buy theirs but ordered the MG after the delay of the Titan. This is such a solid boat!Comment

this lack of a running video within 1hour of having it is unaceptable and will be punishable by keel hauling, or flogging your choicei build race cars, and play w fast boats, i think the boats are less of a headache

WHY would you swap out a Spektrum radio system for a Tactic?? That's sacrilege!
The RX in that boat is waterproof, has a HUGE range, and simply rocks.
Waterproof ESC... Waterproof RX... New Spektrum Marine tech... sounds very reliable and trouble free to me!Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

I just don't like the antennae - it looks gay sticking out of that beautiful boat. The Tx just doesn't feel right in my hand either - very uncomfortable in my large hand. I never had any issues with the Tactic system - I really loved the range and the Rx was easy to waterproof with a dab of 3M DP270 epoxy. Different strokes for different folks...Comment

I just had to comment on the shocking video in the first post, its a good looking boat and darin says (and I believe) that it handles well, but the video shows it porpoising along at top speed and backing of the throttle to a crawl for the turns, not a good advert. Taking the time to actually set up the boat and then giving it a few laps flat out all the way will get more people interested, if I wasn't a forum regular and saw that video I would think that it was just another crappy RTR with loads of rocker built in to get its nose up and make it look fast at low speed (but (over)powered with BL) and just ignore it.
You don't have to run the antennae outside the hull, having the external antennae gives you the choice of doing so and maximizing range and minimising signal blocking if you wish, but you can keep it inside the hull and suffer the reduced range and greater chance of a blocked signal if you choose to just as you are forced to do with the internal antennae of the tactic. Personally I like twin antenna systems as internal antennae give me as much range as I need and I can run one on each side of the motor ensuring the signal never gets blocked, good looking and glitch free.Paul Upton-Taylor, Greased Weasel Racing.Comment
