Actually... it's the last 32mm... Just the exposed silver portion at the end of the gray coax...

How about leaving just 1-2 inches of antennae sticking out and cutting the rest of the antennae tube off? That should work ok with the factory radio right? Range might not be as good, but it seems like it would do ok if it is just the end that is actually the antennae.

Thanks for the vote of confidence - I was starting to feel a little lonely here with my preference for no antennae!
I only drive my boats within 200 yards of me on any lake I drive on and the Tactic has been absolutley flawless with my last 3 boats. I even did a crazy range test last July to see how far I could get my boat to go away from me and the boat was barely visible to me and it still had total control. I am not knocking the Spektrum in any way, shape or form - it does look like a marvelous piece of engineering (the Rx is the size of a dime!) but I just prefer the Tactic Tx in my hand. Different strokes for different folks!

So, several boats are hitting their lucky owners, but hardly any info posted yet. What are you guys going to run for prop, batteries, etc???

Terry... What are the dimensions for the AQ boat?

The Geico is 30" overall... about 27.5" from tips to the tails of the sponsons... Tunnel width is 5.5" and overall width is about 10.5", if I recall correctly. It's a pretty decent sized "Spec" boat...

Will be fun to see how everything stacks up. Get to it, boys!!

I never measured it. I don't have one. I've just had my butt handed to me by one on multiple occasions. Mike Z had one at the nats too. I had time to watch it since I flipped 3 of 4 heats. DOH!! Ran really well considering the wind and sheer number of boats out there.

I can't wait till these new cats take off. A bunch of stable RTR cats running around will make LSO a riot class.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking! I absolutely LOVE racing OPC tunnels, and Offshore... both supreme driving and setup challenges! I think we're off to a good start! Can't wait to see what comes up next!

some pics for size comparison to an sv27

Mine is in the mail, just got comformation yesterday that it shipped. I plan on starting with 2 2s 5000mah 40c turnigy lipo's. Esc bec disabled & motor timing switched to high of course. I will use my dx3s also. I want to start with a x642, after I test the grounds on that I may run 5s on stock power. I do have a brand new seaking 120 esc in the shop and plan on changing the motor very quickly as well. Video will be done on 4s & 5s with stock power.

Just picked mine up. Haven't had a chance to even get it out of the box yet. Won't the 642 be too large?

Looks like you need to move the strut up a tad, and move the batteries forward slightly. That should help get the porpoising out of it.
