Do you mean the silicone tubing inside the hull where the shaft exits the stuffing tube? If thats what you mean, how did it alter the end of the run????

I put the tubing on the end, but water still gets in and it makes the boat lean. I guess next time I will run it and see how much water it really is.

It got in during the tub test or did it run? And, is it only getting in one side?

How much water is able to get in the rear part of the hatch? I had the boat in the pool and was running it, I did not really have water coming in, grease was coming it but that was it. I then sprayed water at the boat from differnt angles, there was some water(antenna tube plugged). Is there a way to seal the hatch? The boat is really making me mad. My other pb never had a water issue.

Yes diefinitely always always always ALWAYS use hatch tape. You can get clear electrical tape from Walmart and use it. Its what Ive been using for quite some time and am very pleased. Also folks use Hockey tape. Ive not used it before but it also works well.

ALWAYS tape your hatch 100% all the way around.

However, unless your rolling it w/ the hatch untaped, you shouldnt be getting that much water. Sounds like theres still a problem somewhere.

How about posting some pics of your set up so we can help to try and identify the problem.

How are you greasing the shaft?

I'll try that if I can't get that water issue solved I think I'll just part with it. I got a three blade prop installed now and it takes a lot to get up to plan, should I raise or lower the drive unit.

This boat has gotten water in it from day one. You get more water in it with 2 min of running then sitting for one hour.
As far as greasing shaft I put some on my finger and rubbed it all the way around I also shot grease into the tub before I put the flex shaft in, as I inserted the shaft I turned it to work the grease around. I know the liner is bad but horizon does not have them right now. I also shot water through the cooling system with a needle and did not notice any leakage. I am just very frustrated becasue my shockwave I go and drive and never really had any problems besides a burnt esc.

I have tubing down here ( the area by the tube is cracked but I don't think it gets in.

                      I have tubing here

                      I also have tube here

Is the liner in the stuffing tube or are you running w/ out it?

We'll get it man, dont give up on it. This is all part of the hobby. Its what makes it a Hobby. If you could just throw it in and go, it woulda been purchased from Walmart.

Some other things I can think of... check that EVERYTHING is aligned properly. If something is not, it could cause a wobble and vibration therfor letting water in while in motion but selas up perfectly while stopped. Be sure there is a gap between the drive dog and the strudder to allow for load winding. Yes the BJ has those white plastic thrust bushings, but you want to try and keep it off them if you can. See pic and disregard the algae weed mess on the drive. Its a long story and was left there for a reason.

Also ditch those Nimh batts for some Lipos and its a totally different boat. Then you definitley will want to keep it. My neigbor, whos boat is in the pic, was shocked about the difference. Gettem from Hobbycity.com. Turnigy Lipos, inexpensive and like gold. I love them. I have 10 or 11 pairs and have only had one battery go bad in a year. about 25 dollars for each batt you will need. I recommend a 5000mah, 30C or 40C. Aa 20C will work, but may get a little warm. I run 30C and up. Then you will need the program card from Pro Boat to re-program the esc for lipo compatibility. $19.99 Or you may find one or ask for one in the Swap Shop on OSE.

I have a really good feeling it might be the hatch, next tape it up and see what happens

Also check to see if there are any micro holes on the bottom of the hull....I did all of the above before, epoxy sealed antenna hole, watercooling line hole, silicone tubing on stuffing tube, hatch tape, etc....

but I was always getting a spoonful of water....I found my issue to be that there were a few tiny tiny pinholes in the bottom of my hull!!! LOL so I sealed them all up with some CA glue and now my hull is dry
