Stock motor? 1 3S batt... slooooow And being a single pack the boat would either be unbalanced or the batt would have to go on the tunnel which would probably make it handle even worse than it already does. All around just not a good idea.Comment

Should handle fine as long as its greased properly. That's the same hardware I'm using on mine but I wont be running 6S on mine.Comment

well i took brushless BJ down to the lake to see how the winter time upgrades worked. the new ss hardwear worked great on 4s but i was running real wet. what is better, to ajust the strut angle or move the bat. back more." Do you really need anouther boat "

Sand it down then use epoxy or resin to repair, sand flat and then paint, might as well fill in all the holes since you are puting in new wood and start from scratch, also make sure the transom is square. so your strut and rudder are stright.Comment

As far as reinforcing the transom for the SS hardware, there is no need to do that. Just install a nylon bolt on the bottom hole of the L bracket that holds the ruder in place, or use a small Ziptie so it just breaks away instead of tearing out the rear of the boat when you hit something. Simple way of preventing major damage.Comment

You can also use brass screws. You can find them at most hardware stores.Comment
