So is it just a tiny bit of lean? If so then its normal. If its a mad amount... then somethings wrong. Are you running a 2S in each sponson? Check that your drive is square. A friend of mine got a BJ26 not long ago and was having nasty handling issues. Way worse than the typical stock problems. When we looked more closely at it, the drive was slightly leaning to one side. We squared it up and it was a totally different boat and rode much more true.Comment

I was running 2 7 cell, how much water should be getting in the hull? How do you tell if it is square?Comment

Welcome to the BJ26. It will always be unstable in a turn. I roll mine at least a couple times every outting if Im running against someone or in a good chop. If the water is flat, I can generally pull off a full run right side up. But you have to watch it thru the turns. They will get away from you real quick.Comment

Not good. When mine comes in, there would not be enough to create a full drop of water.
Be sure you are greasing the shaft before each days outting. I usually grease mine every other run if its within the same day. If its different days, its greased evertime it goes out.
Are you running the stock drive?
Be sure none of your water lines are leaking.
Cut a short piece of water line and slip it over the end of the suffing tube, inside the boat. When you install the cable, it will slide thru it and make a good water seal if the problem is coming thru your shaft. I have this on all of my boats and it works fantastic.Comment

Tub testing is always a good start, however, often it will not solve your problems. I had a different cat start pouring in water and could not figure it out. I changed all my lines, cooling can, pickups everything. Then I read somewhere that some drive systems will push water between the stuffing tube and the liner. Thinking that was not the problem I went ahead and heat shrunk the connection of the strut and stuffing tube and my water problem was solved. I have another boat now that Im working on figuring out a water issue. Its got me super stumped.Comment

What is the plastic tub that is inside the brass tube? I pulled it out by actident now I was only able to get a little bit in both sidesComment

That is the teflon liner. Some people run without it. I've never had to reinstall one but I've read somewhere to hold one end in a vise, stretch it and rapidly reinsert it. It will shrink and tighten up.Comment

Exactly. However usually those who run w/out one install a stuffing tube (brass tube) that is a bit smaller in diameter. Running w/ out one using the stock tube could lead to a lot of water in your boat. Ive always run liners. Everyone has thier own opinion about them. Ive talked to many who have used both methods and had no recorded differences. Perhaps in SAW, 100mph boats the liner could heat up and casue too much resistance.. but were not running 100mph. Stretch it out, put it back in and call it done. If its tore up and abused, you can purchase more from OSE or your LHS may have it in stock.Comment
