Revolectrix!! Im running 6s2p (4 packs) of the 435 5800 70c silver label packs.. Love these things, they hold power better than my old spc and smc packs.. Im sure others will agree. Dont eorry about ordering from Singapore, got mine in 5 days.

Sounds like you saw the right speed for the voltage you are running; you mentioned having 2s packs. Don't know how you selected your batteries, 4s vs 6s, but there are 2 completion guides for this boat. I put together one as a general completion guide with 7.4 packs and the other is listed as a high performance pack with 11.2v LiPos. Most people go straight for the 11.1v packs.

The bouncing comes from running too wet. With slower speeds the boat will run on that first pad with the lifter streak which causes the bounce. This boat has a fine line between being at the right setup, or bouncing because it's too wet or too dry. Most people who run 6s right out the gate never see any bounce at all, being that the boat is set up out of the box for 6s. If you run 4s, angle your struts up 1mm or so, or until the bounce goes away; or don't run your batteries too far forward.

I agree in regards to the LiPo quality being the key factor to get top speed, out of any RC. I cant tell you how many PMs I get with "i bought these batteries, will it get me past 60?". We don't have the budget to try every battery on the market. Most people stick with what works in their other RCs. Me, personally, I set my fast 2 lap times with Dynamite 50C 11.1V packs, but I personally run Orion 35C5700 soft packs that they make for me. Just ordered some 5000 35C packs. If the LiPos are of good quality, 35C is sufficient. Most companies list the burst rating as the C rating anyways. Trust me when I tell you that there is currently no LiPo on the market with a higher continues discharge rate than 35C. All those high C rated liPos are max C ratings.

So you're running high 40s to low 50s on 4S? That's not bad for 4S. With the stock motor setup you will have to run 6S in order to get the RPM needed to run 60+mph.

I agree Rafael, im starting slow and work up , as in batteries, I have y harness from hozorion comming so I can do 4 2c batteries, then I have 3c coming in, and ill do same, 2 at first then 4 batteries. so the volts is the speed key?

More voltage results in more RPM. So yes, it will be faster on 6s.

yes agreed, good packs do make a difference

there are packs on the market that make real world 35C +
me and two others over at rcgroups have been testing lipos for some time now, and I have been doing so for over 4 years, even imported for a while..
I've been contacted by several companies to do independent testing for them, and one company has sent custom packs for me, and I can honestly say they haul the mail !

So you're saying you are logging 35c/+, continuous discharge rates? Are you guys bench testing them or data logging the discharge information from real world scenarios? I'd be interested to see how you guys are doing it so I can do some testing on my side, with the packs that I test with. Let me know what info you can share.

Yes sir on all of that
I have a test stand with data logging and I also have a test boat that I hammer packs with

personally I no longer share my findings because over the past several months a few people on the forums and even facebook like to trash talk my name
most my info goes to the lipo makers and a few racers in Namba

Check out kfx post on first page. He also suggested to me to sharpen rudder. I would like to see a pic of his though before I screw mine up!

I think maybe my Dynamite packs are getting a bit tired too, I have hit LVC maybe twice on the same packs, 1 in the Voracity and 1 in the Zelos. I had order some SMC packs but 1 came faulty (0v) awaiting the replacements and will give them a go. Hopefully I can give those or maybe the Revos a try and see if I maintain or better my 60.5mph run.

You're running the x447s right? Detounged sharpened and ballanced and with the revos I think I pulled 65. The stock motors wound up better with the x442s though. 64 on 442s

Correct! But I don't think I sharpened enough! I doubt I even put an hour into those props.
