the boat is 5 weeks old and connectors look like new, 2 x 3s bats as far forward as possible. I did same for weight but weighed out lead and added to front of foam rods, and lost 10 mph myself. Needless to say, that's coming out :)

Yee-haw.....finally got my stock Zelos up to 72mph with a lot of help from tips and info you guys posted. Ran it with 12s 5200mah, OSE upgraded prop cables and s/b ABC 1814 props.
The main issue is with how hot the motors got with the water pick-up. Waiting to hear how Travis dealt with this issue and testing he was doing with micro pump pick-up.

My motors got to 150f yesterday which is hotter than I like but from what I understand they will still live. Watch the video I posted, I wouldn't run it like that again with those props, it runs a little warmer than I'm ok with. The escs only got to 129f-130f

There are various versions of the Dx2e. Simple, try and bind. If it binds then your question will be no more.

Rafael....what are the safest high temps to run on the Zelos motors and did you ever install the Impulse motors in your Zelos and if so what were the results?

Trying to change bearings on my motor. Remove 6 head screws. Now what? Just pull on the shaft?

Do I need to remove the bottom screws as well? Hope not as those suckers are rather rusty and I'm pretty sure all won't budge.

End bell should pull off, rotor should pull out. Kind of a pain not scoring the rotor, maybe im too picky. Once the rotor is out just tap the bearings out.

Still at it, can't figure how. It seems easier to open from the bottom. I was under the impression the top can be replaced topside and the back at the bottom side.

For others who may have to do this at some point. Here is how I did it.

1)Loose all 6 screws (don't remember the size needed to remove)
2)Place motor in a vice (may not be needed but mine was a pain)
3)Used a needle nose pliers to fit in the holes at the top (One in each hole across from each other, I believe there are 6, any 2 should work)
4)Expand pliers so it is touching the outer ends of the holes (Basically at this point you would be able to hold up the motor by just doing this if it wasnt in the vice at this point)
5)I used a adjustable spanner on the needle nose pliers and started turning (I needed some WD40 to persuade it)

After a few turns it should come loose. Upon inspection, my top bearings were completely done! No little balls could be found! I hope this helps others, there may be a tool that makes this easier to remove but this is MY experience and that's what I had to do to get it done! (At work)

What were the props that kfxguy used to reach his 76.3mph and you might want to list if these guys are running stock or other mods like Erroneous did.
