also the UL-1 is an Hydro so much less drag than a mono, IMO the UL-1 motor would fit better in the 25" mono see here
Ed my prop question WAS for the 25" mono

lol sorry ya know I'm french! you got the answer then! if Steven is out of stock on it, get a cheap chinese one and sell it ARTR once the DF is back in stock!
even though I practice my english every day since many years already ('cause I work for an American company) I sometime experience difficulties to 100% follow a thread, some kind of "brain stall"!!!

What I ment by "you got the answer" is that on the UL-1 page you have the recommended prop for it, size are in mm so it is "easy" to pick the corresponding prop in the K serie, these are 40x52 3blades, 38x55 2 blades and 40x57 3 blades, the strange thing is that the 3 blades are bigger than the 2 blade??? but I would start with a K37.5 (pitch = 51mm), then K39 (pitch = 54mm) to a K40.5 (pitch = 55mm) maximum, if you plan to run 5S you'll have to go down to a K36 I believe

OK, so i have heard many things about these boats now. So i need a couple more things answered before i mkae my decision.

            1) Is the hull any good? from what i have heard it is.
            2) What are the things that are breaking on these boats? Besides electronics which i will supply
            3) What is a good, yet inexpensive motor to run in here? with my 120A esc
            4) Whichever parts break on this boat, can i get better parts to replace them? Such as the flex cable, could i put a 3/16 one in there(or whatever size)?

EVERYTHING you ever wanted to know about the prince is right here

Speed - Electric - Prince 25 Mono - I thought I would start a new thread for this boat since it seems to be getting popular but there is not much info out there yet on it. I ordered mine from http://r2hobbies.com/products.php?cat=58 and should be getting them any day now. They did not have white ones in stock so they

I have read that several times.

Well i am going to take the plunge and buy this boat:

But i worked a deal with him to sell it wothout the motor/esc. Since those seemed to be the main things breaking. So now my question is what is a good motor that will work with my 120A esc? I was think like a fieago 540L. What others are there?

that motor or the AMMO 2300. The Ammo is a very efficient motor and will make this boat a missile on 4s!!

                    i run a ammo 2300 on 4s with a detounged x440 prop runs constant 45mph
i also think the ul-1 motor would be a good bet with a bit bigger prop it will have that extra tourqe the ammo doesnt have.if your esc is good you could run a 8xl but it would be a missile
just make sure the motor mount will take a 540

Would a feigao 8xl be way too much for this boat?

a lot would depend on prop you could prop down until you got used to the boat and setup, these boats handle extremely well with guys pushing them over 75mph. i have had mine to 50mph and it was still very stable with no backing of in the turns

How do they do through the rough? I don't mean full throttle, but just average speed?

they run better with a slight bit off chop. at 45mph in race water they are fine. if you set them up rite they are very stable
