    Ozzie.
The battery on that side will have to lay up against t e flood chamber wall at about a 30 degree angle. I'll epoxy in a piece of ply with Velcro on it to keep the pack secure.According to others there's no noticeable difference in lateral balance or handling. Only testing will tell.
    4s 2p is ok.

    Old Yeller.
Glad to have helped with your decision. Its been a fun progression over the months. A lot of useful info posted by other people on that thread & the one at R/C universe, & of course the ones here at Offshore.
We'll see how this version goes on Saturday.
If it's still pouring with rain I'll be testing on a 'wet track'
It's good when you make yourself laugh isn't it.
    Cheers.
    Paul.

Well I have to warn you that after the bathtub test last night the flood chamber did not work. I think Failure is the term commonly used
Even though it was as big as possible there doesn't seem to be enough volume to flip the boat.
Hardly even had a list to it.
Sorry. I guess I should have tested it before I posted anything about it.
      Paul.

... so ... thinking that calculated 'volume' is critical.

Another Python fan eh! Good on ya mate!

Yep. Weight & volume calcs are a must, but I couldn't possibly make it any bigger.
Now the 'Bulletproof' has four real bullet holes in the deck & a hole in the transom.
No matter she still runs fine.
Speaking of which, we tested her out yesterday with the new stinger & 8XL motor.
Went pretty well on an X642 & nothing even got warm. So on went an X645. Went a bit quicker but again nothing got even warm. Mind you there's not much of the boat in the water. Got a slight leak in the cooling system to find now though.
            All the best.
