yes Douggie, it would work but if it was me:
    $70(EagleTree)+$15(TEMP)+$15(RPM)+$10(USB)+shippin g
so roughly $120... already frustrated with spending $1900+(guessing here) going really slow,
would be a lot to ask.

Hes already spent $800 120 more and he will have a tool that he can use many times over makes sense to me i wish i brought mine when i built my first boat and would have saved me some dollars in the long run

Before everyone says I am mad let me say John will know what I am talking about.

Maybe that motor had too many JOINTS in it's early life John.

Let me know if you would like to borrow my Eagle Tree. If you do PM or email me your address.

Adrian where did this $800 figure come from?
Please don't take me the wrong way. I am just inquisitive.

Thanks I did not see that.
Let me say this boat we insured for $1,600 US when shipped. Customs charged John another $350 for import duty. We are talking in the area of $3,000 Aus dollars by the time the money conversion rate is taken into account. He has a 50kph boat for $3,000.

Sorry John but I think this needed to be said.
You need all the help we can give you (including the vendor) to get that boat working

thanks for the help guys, did a little testing tonight on bench, batrt are holding 8.4v each and are connected in series.... EPA on throttle set to max 120%, my next option is to put a new lifter prop on it this weekend and do a ESC re-program and set timing to low. i am sure it is a simple thing , i think i am just too close to see it, if i knew how to post pics (mine are all too large) i would.

                        but keep the ideas coming.

                            batteries are out then...
by "programming the ESC" you mean re-linking the Tx to the Rx, right? When you do that make sure to set the EPA to 100% and all the settings to their default values, otherwise it will not link.
The timing set to low (or close to it) on a "D" wind motor is always a good thing.
Good luck mate, keep us posted.

I know you stated that you calibrated the Castle ESC but do you get a steady led on full throttle, if it is blinking it is not calibrated properly and the motor will not perform well.
