Thank you for your help, with TPPower 4060 - 1100kV motors 2x8S or 2x9S is a good setup.
I can have 2 x Turnigy 600 - 880kV, is it better to use those outrunners with 2x10S ?Last edited by Alfa Spirit; 02-12-2025, 04:38 PM.Comment

The one thing you have failed to answer is what are your expectations? Do you want to go zoom zoom, race or play? Also do you actually want anyone's advice?NZMPBA 2013, 2016 Open Electric Champion. NZMPBA 2016 P Offshore Champion.

I want a fast offshore, not a SAW boat for fun and race with friends.
Turnigy 600 - 880kV specs :

RPM/V: 880kv
Motor Poles: 8
Internal resistance: 0.0145 Ohm
Max Loading: 100A
Max Power: 3700W
Shaft Diameter: 6mm
Shaft Length: 21mm
Screw Mounting Spacing: 25mm/30mm (M4)
Weight: 375gComment

So what is your definition of fast? With the motors you are wanting to run the esc's will only take props in the 47-50mm range, which may well be inefficient on that hull size. On 880 kv I would recommend 8s, ztw200 esc's and props in the 55-60mm size for starters. You should see speeds in the 90 + kph range which is plenty in race water and giving you good reliability and runtime.NZMPBA 2013, 2016 Open Electric Champion. NZMPBA 2016 P Offshore Champion.

I think that the good twin setup is 2 x TPPower 4060 - 1100kV and 2 x 8S or 2 x 9S.Last edited by Alfa Spirit; 02-12-2025, 04:39 PM.Comment
